Hey guys the newest Nerdist podcast features a 1hr 10 min conversation with Wilco...hosted by comedians Chris Hardwick, Jonah Ray and Matt Mira....haven't listened yet but hilarity will surely ensue: http://www.nerdist.com/2012/02/nerdist-podcast-wilco/

Also my wife and I are seriously considering naming our future dog Wilco (could be an awesome dog name) thoughts?
Oh, I will dine on honey dew And drink the Milk of Paradiseeeee

I'm going to name my next cat "Tweedy"

I have 4 right now.

Thurston - named after Thurston Moore (he's a gay cat and he seems to be British)
James - (He came with the name, he also seems to be British)
Owen - Named after Owen Wilson.
Sunny - We didn't name him but the girl we got him from named him after some hot soap-op star.  So I just tell people he's named after Sunny Bono.

We had a Thurston for 14 years. Got him just after Washing Machine came out. The name really suited, he used to do this little arch of his back and get all tense before leaping at whatever he was gonna attack.  Kinda looked like what SY Thurston would do with his shoulders before he launched into attacking his guitar...
At my house, we call them uh-ohs.

My Thurston just hides under the bed.  I like to think he's coming up with new ways to tune a guitar, but then other times I think he's just a british fagot.

From Wilco-

Greetings everyone,

We've hinted about some forthcoming big show announcements and here's the start. First, we've got two nights at the awe-inspiring Red Rocks in Morrison, CO -- June 22 w/ guests the Punch Brothers and June 23 with support from Dr. Dog. Tix for this one on sale Friday, April 6 at 10am Mountain time.

Next up: Chicagoland. Yep, one big night July 8 at the Kane Country Cougars ballpark in Geneva, IL -- a Chicago-centric bill featuring Wilco (of course), Andrew Bird and his band, plus The Congregation (an up & coming 8-piece soul band). And it all ends with fireworks (literally) under the west suburban stars. If you missed those amazing Chicago shows in December, consider this a second chance. Tickets on sale Saturday, April 7 at 10am Central time.

If you haven't checked out the shows page lately, a bunch of May gigs in the Southeastern US are up and on sale now -- from Fayetteville, Arkansas to Birmingham, Alabama; Jackson, Mississippi and Tampa, Miami and St. Augustine, Florida and back home via Memphis. Get tickets while you can HERE.

Also, 30% off music in April.  I just picked up Summerteeth, AM, and YHF vinyl for $55 total, including shipping (all 180 gram + CDs)!

I'm there for Red Rocks!  I'm still holding out hope for MMJ to play there this year, but I'm gonna jump on Wilco there for sure while I'm waiting to see what MMJ is gonna do with the late summer/fall as far as touring.

I really want to go to the Red Rocks show on the 23rd, but I have Avett Bros. tickets in Sac on the 24th.  Bumming hard.

But I did get my drink on last night and fired up the Ashes of American Flags DVD.
