Just heard that my friend got pit with his Amex.  Very happy for him but not happy the roll call members didn't get these.

hmmmmmm i got a threw out probably 5 sets of tickets and none of them sniffed the pit.
out go the lights it begins

Sure there are probably a few pit seats available, but let's be real here, most of those are probably gonna be reserved for family and friends.  I really didnt think it was a big deal for Roll Call not to offer these....

Itis lame that AMEX got pit option, but it's ticket masters doing not the bands
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Maybe Roll Call did have some pits, and those that got them just don't post here.

This isn't my first go around with fan club tickets and ticketmaster.  The fact is tickmaster just does some shady stuff.  It's not the bands fault.  After everything was said and done I thought we got some really nice tickets.  I think it's strange that I got on the second they went on sale and got 12 rows back on the far right side of the theater.  I had to be at the very least in the top 50 people in, had my password copy and pasted, nailed the funky letters on the first try, was already logged into ticketmaster.  People started posting later that they were getting the middle of the orchestra inside the first 10 rows.  It just doesn't make sense.

Just FYI, 3 pairs of tix, Row C, $4480 per pair, on eBay, from a tix agency.  How does this happen?
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Actually most friends and family of the band either sit backstage or at the back of the theater.  Comp tickets at the Palace are never very good. There are, however, season ticket holders and radio stations and whatnot that do take up a lot of those choice seats.

I'm waiting for Friday.  Don't know what to make of this whole Roll Call deal yet and seeing the tickets you all ended up with, I'm not kicking myself... yet...

EDIT: To Johnny: probably season ticket holders trying to cash in

I feel very fortunate to have pulled the seats that I did, but the forum Roll Call reports had seats all over the place.  Who knows what everyone pulled that doesn't post here.  Logic would favor best available seats going first, but logic doesn't always apply.  Otherwise, it's more of a lottery.

I, too, was one of the people hitting refresh every few seconds from 11:55 on with my code ready to copy and paste and nimbly hurdling the captcha code.

I wouldn't be surprised if ticketmaster has under the table deals with some of these ticket agencies.  They always seem to some how end up with way more awesome than they should have and selling them at crazy prices.

Sorry guys he was fuckin wit me he actually got row z. Ass hole had me pissed.
Y'all got any disco ball back there?

I ordered mine this morning using the Amex option and the password.  Got four seats together Orch 4 Row L.   I'm pretty happy with that.

If anyone has an Amex and needs the password send me a message and I'll hook you up.

slappymoe

just bought four more with my amex.....2 for a buddy and his wife, the other 2 will be a wedding present for my niece.  (hope she doesn't check this board!)

they gave me orch 1, row mm, i tried a few more times and got orch 1, row nn....1 row back.  tried one last time and got orch 1, row jj...4 rows closer.

it does seem to be a crapshoot.  in the end though, as rusty said, i think we're all going to be happy just to be in the building for this event.

What password? I'm able to purchase without one, just have to use my Amex card at checkout.

There's two options to order with your amex.  The first doesn't require a password.  The second one right below it does.  I did ticket searches trying both ways.  The one without the password would always give orchestra seats, but double letter rows.  When searching with the password option I got much better seats in single letter rows.

That is why it is called American Express PREFERRED seating.

Got tix prob three mins after noon on tues cause I was using the pit selection and no tix were available. Got stuck with dd orch 2 pretty bummed. Didn't know it was a crapshoot. Kinda wish I wouldn't of sunk all my money into this hoping the bonnaroo show isn't epic. Someone change my mind.

Gotcha. I should have been clearer in my post. I knew about the 2nd option but thought that the 800# on the back of the card was all you needed. Was there another password that could be used?

ORCH 3 N 11-12

So my question is- who is going to try and learn the whole album so they can sing along, or will you hear it live for the first time instead?

I wouldn't trade this show for any other this year.  Are you saying you have to miss bonnaroo to go to this.  If thats the case Bonnaroo will come again.  Record release show in the hometown may not.  If you need some convincing that you made the right choice, check ebay and craigslist throughout the next week.  I think you'll be happy you got those tix,  btw who don't like double d's? ;)

So are people thinking that the boys will play the entire album?
