Here's a track listing and a YouTube link to the tune MMJ is doing, True Love Ways.

I can definitely hear Jim singing this!

02 Fiona Apple and Jon Brion: "Every Day"
03 Paul McCartney: "It's So Easy"
04 Florence and the Machine: "Not Fade Away"
05 Cee-Lo: "(You're So Square) Baby, I Don't Care"
06 Karen Elson: "Crying, Waiting, Hoping"
07 Julian Casablancas: "Rave On"
08 Jenny O.: "I'm Gonna Love You Too"
09 Justin Townes Earle: "Maybe Baby"
10 She & Him: "Oh Boy"
11 Nick Lowe: "Changing All Those Changes"
12 Patti Smith: "Words of Love"
13 My Morning Jacket: "True Love Ways" http://youtu.be/QjFRHIhSvwc
14 Modest Mouse: "That'll Be the Day"

16 Detroit Cobras: "Heartbeat"
17 Lou Reed: "Peggy Sue"

Holy crap.
true love ways is my favorite Buddy Holly song.
when I read the title I was hoping....
this is sweet.

I wonder if it'll be Jim's solo version from the Louisville is for Lovers show?  Or something with the full band?
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

BH

I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Concerns

The Modest Mouse track'll be interesting I'm sure... I'm having trouble picturing what that'll sound like in my head.

Do we have this somewhere?  BH?  Is it on the JJ Top 40 3 Disc deluxe set?  Its not on here: http://www.youaintnopicasso.com/2010/01/11/the-my-morning-jacket-covers-archive-50-covers-2/ or our own complilation thread.  Anyone got this?

This will be a great buy. I love Buddy Holly. I use to collect old vinyl records and got a few rare ones of his. I'm glad The Black Keys are doing "Dearest". Plus, "True Love Ways" is a GREAT song for Jim and the band to do. Wouldn't it be awesome to hear that live??
