Merriweather Post August 12th - Roll Call

I'll be there in the pit with y'all! My friend and I are rolling up there from DC after work today. Can't wait, Merriweather is one of my favorite venues and the Jacket is going to be incredible there.

I ended up with 3 extra GA PIT tickets for the show tonight!

Anyone need them? Price is $53 each (exactly what I paid - face value plus shipping/processing fees). I will check back on this thread. Just leave your email address or send me a message.

I am trying to get to the venue as early as possible this evening, so we could obviously just meet up in the lot.

Just picked up my tickets and found a library on my way back to the hotel! CAN'T WAIT TO SEE EVERYONE TONIGHT!! They say the lots open at 4:30, but I'm not sure what you guys did last year or if you came earlier than that...... but I'll be in touch and see you guys soon!!! :D :D :D :D :o :o :o :o

I insist you guys try calling about the lot hours again, the lady I had on the phone didn't seem too enthusiastic and may have just rattled off a time without a whole lot of thought... what time did ya'll show up last year?? I recommend we aim for that time again. I'm at the library right now so I won't have much access after I sign offa here, but if you have my number let me know when you're heading down! I know we can get in before 4 f'n 30.

The lot has to be open earlier than 4:30...sound check begins at 4:00. Sounds like she didn't know what she was talking about.

Yep. The girl is clueless. We have to be at will call at 4:00...the lot will be open earlier. Never fear, folks.

haha - have a fun time ruckus and everybody.
last year I sat in a sports bar at that mall right there and watched the bruins-flyers. Then hit the PF Chang for some mai thais and over to the MPP lot. Fond memories.

The lots at MPP opened at 3:30p for Phish this summer. I remember last year for the MMJ show just cruising on in around 330 or so as well. I think it will be around that time as well, don't quote me though.

You can always just park in the mall. It is adjacent to the venue.

anyone else attend the soundcheck? it was kinda weird. one side of merriweather was closed for entrance so we had to walk all the way around to the other side of the venue. no signage anywhere, kinda confusing.

finally made it to the right spot and a radio contest of about 40 people gained entrance BEFORE the roll call people. The people who purchased the soundcheck package from GILT sucked in my experience, and generally rude to staff and just really distracting... overall, whole process was a little sloppy....the roll call/gilt people got let in and MMJ played 3 songs off the new album, Jim had some funny banter and then passed around a golden bear for people to touch. Then when we walked out staff gave out signed promo posters. The end. Kind of a neat experience but not sure I would shell out the 25 bucks again. Show was awesome though.
