The Halo will only fit a certain amount of people.  So people line up to get into the Halo bar.   Once your in the Halo bar, your good, because you and the rest of the peeps in the bar will get in before everyone else.   You can also line up inside the bar so you are the first of the first, but I never really thought that was necessary.   If you have seats, or want to get in the pit, none of this is really necessary.  Only if you want a good rail spot or table.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

And don't think just because it's a weekday show, that line will not get long quick. Been to weekend shows where not a lot of people showed up form early entry but last time I saw Modest Mouse it was a weekday show and got there about 5:10ish and it was full.

The moonrise has a special with the pageant where you can pay 100$ if you're seeing a show. Booked that! Connected? That's awesssoommee

I couldn't find anything about this deal on their website.  Where did you see it?

Click the Moonrise Hotel picture about halfway down. Takes you to their website. Rate is $109 with about $20 in taxes.

Great, thanks!  I had looked at this hotel as an option but didn't want to pay $180 for a room, even with the convenience.  This is more realistic.

The Halo doesn't open until 5. If you are going to go in to get into the venue early, be there before 5. I have a feeling they will fill up very quickly.

I was a little worried about this myself, the news this morning said the temp was going to be 100, wondering how many folks will be willing to sit outside in that

bring an extra shirt I guess

ChronicHunger

Yea, i was thinking the same thing, but i will also be in the pit dancing my ass off, so really im just going to end up drenched in sweat anyways.

Anyone have any idea what the show poster will look like?

Oh hells...gotta figure out how to meet up. With the plans I have, I'm not making it to Pi beforehand and I'm not gonna be in the Pageant's area until closer to 6.

Delta Spriti 7:45pm - 8:30pm
My Morning Jacket 9-11:45pm
*Set times subject to change without notice

These set times were posted on the Pageant website.  Any Pageant veterans know if these are usually spot on?  Love the MMJ set, but wish DS would play longer.  :(

I just booked a room at the Moonrise for $90 through Priceline.  Worth a try for anyone if they don't have a room yet.  My wife is going to love it.

unfortunatly with the city having a curfew, yeah, it's pretty normal. The 7:45 may end up being closer to 8 which is around when shows start there.

i'm going to meet up w-kate & robin for lunch which may turn into an extended beer-knitting hullaballoo.  ;D  if i don't see you before the show, will make an effort to find you after.  i am always a lingerer when the show ends.  so keep an eye out:  about 5", shoulder length blonde hair, post-mmj-show-stunned expression.  ;)
