very surprised to not hear from more of the forum regulars.   live reports from the condos, that sort of thing.   I take from their silence they had a heck of a night.
I was wondering the same thing.  I texted Seth and expected some sign of life.  Funny how those not there are jonesing for a report.
I haven't heard from any of my friends there.  I'm wondering if there are some cell issues due to the large crowd?
Maybe they fell victim to the rapture???   :D   ;)   8)

Hi Guys!  Yesterday was wonderful!  We caught our first glimpse of Patrick side stage checking out the Brandi Carlile set. We arrived a few songs into her set, and made it right up to (almost) the rail. She put on a great show, very sweet and enjoyable and closed it with an old 80s Alphaville song, "forever young." Actually brought a tear to my eye...but you know me :)

After she finished and some of her fans moved from the rail.....yep, you guessed it, bob and I bum rushed it. Seth was already up there so that was sweet. Ah, time for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. I'm sorry but she is just magnificent to look at.  This was my 3 rd time seeing her, and it was definitely her most energetic set!  She completely rocked it, and closed with Heart's "crazy on you" which was super fun!  Great energy!  Also fun to see Patrick and Tommy side stage checkin her out.

On a side note, the girl standing next to me threw her panties onstage. She also shared a story w me about how she credits GPN w saving her life. She had been in an extremely abusive relationship, and through their music, gained the strength to leave the brutality and make a life for herself. Powerful stuff, and great to watch her and help her get her first GPN setlist.  Whew....

Ok, posting this now so I don't lose it..spotty wifi here....

Ok, so......the anticipation was building and we were all primed and ready,  Tyler's Mom Leigh made it up by me.  Bob and I got to stay on the rail for the whole show!  We were surrounded by our troops!

So, sun starting to go down, breeze picking up, and out come the boys......Jim with some sort of contraption around his neck that was some sort of sampling/instrument thingy, but looked like a giant calculator. Love the insanity.  So, the opener, as man y of you know was unfamiliar to me, but I did enjoy it a lot. I was trying to temper my excitement and listen and process.....it was a lot going on.  I was also distracted w Jims longer and somewhat sun kissed hair. You know that hair :) mmmmmmmm

Circuital was fanastic! Anytime and Magheetah were super high energy! HOTBM was awesome! I was really intrigued by the way they managed to get all of those sounds in there! Steam Engine, as always, was pure bliss.  The sun setting, the breeze blowing, Jim reminiscing about his childhood family vacations in the area, and it was all I could do to not have my head explode!  I must note that Carl was in stellar form, highest energy I've seen him!  I love watching Tommy, with his serious face, and then once in awhile getting a smile.  Patrick is a beautiful animal, and am always flabbergasted with how he wails!  I didn't have a great view of Bo, but he was on point and creating some beautiful sounds back there.

OBH was super high energy and kicked my ass!  I was sad it was over, but was prepared fr the shorter set. Of course we lingered, hoping for more, but it just want possible w the schedule. We also attempted to get setlist but no go.

Beautiful day, night, beach, music, people. A treasured memory for us, for sure!

Oh and I did give snowy a shout out, but don't think he could hear me  :)

Night guys! wish you all were here!!

On the HOTBM video, one of the spotlights behind the stage seems to be a little out of synch. Watch it; the 4th one from the left (or the 7th one from the right). It seems to be about .0037 seconds behind the rest of them. Pretty lame if you ask me. They better fix that shit before I see them live.

bullshit

Yep, and I sure didn't like the way that one guy was dancing.  So many ways to kill a rock show.  He better not be dancing in front of me at my show.

GAH, that one guy!  He somehow made it to the Black Angels show in OKC last night too and really kind of fucked it up for me. Hey, that one guy, when a dude in the band holds up a finger telling you to shut the fuck up, shut the fuck up. God knows how anyone could make enough noise to distract from one of the loudest bands I've ever witnessed.

Great to hear from the Hangout crowd! You guys are the best.

From the success of the Tennessee Fire show at Terminal 5 I hope the band realizes they need to incorporate some of those songs on the upcoming tour. Its twighlight now was one of the best songs I have ever seen them perform and to be honest that song, heartbreakin man and war begun are just flat out better songs than Im amazed and highly suspicious which seem to get played at every show now.

Couldn't agree more. Didn't get to see the Tennessee Fire T5 show and I've been dying to see twilight and Evelyn. Although I don't know if Highly Suspicious is the song I would remove.

Also, wouldn't be surprised if Butch Cassidy is a staple on the tour after the released the live download.

You're almost certainly right about Butch Cassidy. According to Tom, it's one of their current live favorites. Can't wait to see it! Hopefully the older cuts get scattered in there as well... there probably won't be many at the beginning, but as the tour goes on and setlists expand, there should be some surprises thrown in there  ;). I saw Evelyn on the Evil Urges tour; what an awesome number that was.
