I swear, this shit just gets more bizarre

Sarah Palin: Paul Revere Did Warn The British That The British Were Coming!

And there are MILLIONS of Amercans who support this person. Mind boggling.
Be the cliché you want to see in the world.

She is a piece of work my friend. I'm afraid for this Nation, with people like this out there trying to run things.

kydiddle

There are no words to describe how I would feel if she became the first woman president. She is not the kind of woman I would ever, ever aspire to be and I am yet to meet a woman who admires this...disaster. Can't talk about her too much because it sends me over the edge to think that SHE could be "President Palin." A crazy, media-hungry, English-language-butchering, out of touch, delusional moron.
Cow temperature.

To think she could be president is crazy to me. However, am I just that out of touch with what's going on in America? Am I so far extreme opposite of this person (and I am in the middle!) that I cannot fathom why anyone would vote for her, but millions would!

I dunno.  Mind boggling, yet a possibility?    :-\

Support often comes from something as simple as blind loyalty; i.e., a Republican would never throw their support behind a Democrat no matter how insane some of their party's policies are. Same with Democrats voting Republican. As for Palin, there's so many Americans, so she's bound to get a percentage of folks to follow her - she's a rootsy media manipulator, good looking (admit it, but in an evil dumb siren kind of way) and she can garner some votes via a rather uninspiring class of Republican presidential hopefuls. Anyway, as an outsider whose country is uniquely tied to the US like no other in the world (and vice versa), I'm both fascinated and terrified of a Palin president.

I know so many people that love her and are "inspired" by her. She infuriates me to no end. She infuriates my wife to no end. She's not inspirational. Yeah, it's that gotcha media's fault that they asked you a simple question and you couldn't answer it. No SP, you do not know our country's history. Or anything for that matter.

Blind loyalty is right. That's the only way she'll manage to get votes, simply by marketing herself as the opposite of those "evil Democrats." She's latched onto these catchphrases and a non-existent ideal of what it means to be an "American." This has created a smoke and mirrors effect, causing people to belief that she could succeed in a position of power.

A huge part of me still has faith in the American people that if she actually ran for President, we would elect the right person in the end. *crosses fingers*

I have a list of people I currently hate as much as Palin if not more.   Palin is obviously the dumbest fucking person in politics right now but to me the following people drive me just as insane at times:

Michelle Bachmann
Mitt Romney
Mitch McConnell
Eric Canter
Rick Santorum
Tim Pawlenty
Rand Paul
Karl Rove
Newt Gingrich
Mike Huckabee
Paul Ryan
John Boehner
--- like every single fucking one of them.  it's insanity.  there's more but I had to stop.

I love ther's so much talk about blind loyalty with respect to those "Evil Republicans" while simutaneously ignoring the same behavior on the part of the followers of your chosen lefty political philosophy (not to mention many of you yourselves for that matter).  There are far more irritating and just plain idiotic individuals on the left:
Sheila Jackson Lee--like fingernails on chalkboard on the stupidity scale
Barbara Boxer
Chucky Schumer
Barack Obama--Nero fiddling while the US flames out (plus where's the outrage akin to that received by Bush for the wars BHO has thrust our military into???)
Action figure Anthony Weiner (I love this s**t since he was always such a putz in his Fox appearances)
Al Franken--no words can possibley justify this joke
John Kerry--useless elitist
Patrick Leahy--poster child for term limits
Harry Reid--poster child for obstruction
Nancy Pelosi--pure democratic hypocrite (actually all of these fall into this category)
I could go on but am getting knuckle cramps you get the idea...

One last things tho--IMO throwing words around like the c-word in regards to people you only know in the most cursory, media-slanted way pretty much removes you from qualifying as a rational politcal opinion.
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

this is why i hate politics right now. Maybe it's always been this way to some degree, but it seems like now more than ever, you either love or hate this side or that. Hate is such a strong word, and I know they say there is always going to be two sides to every argument, but the rhetoric that the mainstream media along with the "pundits" on each side do little to gain any ground on said arguments. this leads to a lot of finger pointing and name calling which therefore wastes even more time on solving critical issues that really are petrifying if you think long and hard about 'em.

i serve my country with endless gratitude, but things have gotten far out of control when the left and right can't come to agreements of any kind anymore. where are the leaders that understand that compromise and humility are the two biggest traits that we need right now to get us through these fucked up times?

i feel like the world is like some big huge space ship that just woke up from lightyears of hypersleep and we just realized that we're flying straight into a huge object that's gonna wreck us if we don't work together to "right the course"

I'm as lefty as they come, but I will take the middle ground over stalemate, fillibuster, and hypocrisy any day.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

the difference between your list and my list is in my list I didn't have to give you an opinion or reference to who the person is.  the people are known for being douchebags and obstructionists.   the only female politician that MAY be more of a cunt than Palin is Michelle Bachmann.  considering we're talking about pundits and congress people I'm surprised you named Obama.

The left might be pussies and even in some cases corrupt, sure of course.  BUT today's democrat is closer to a moderate republican than an actual true democrat.  There are very few exception of this fact.  Republicans are now all about Big Business, that's all they have left.  scamming money.  Tim Pawlenty wants to give the rich even huger tax cuts.  I think he wants to take them down to 25percent or something like that instead of the now 36percent.  It's insanity.

These same people you support, the people who claim they want smaller government and less regulation are the same people who think Abortion and Gay Marriage is wrong.  It's such gross hypocrisy, truly beyond words.   It's one gigantic theatrical act.  I'm not excusing Democrats from stupidity but conservatives are far more obstructive and they  do not seek to meet any of my interests whatsoever.   nor yours or any other middle class american.

You dis Weiner for some pics he sent a chick in vegas via twitter yet you have candidates in your party like Newt Gingrich who are far more sleazy.  Gingrich is even sleazier than John Edwards.  But conservatives protected Newt until his entire team quit last week.   Plus, Weiner didn't even leak or release the photos that Andrew Brietbart dude did.  It was tabloid journalism at best.  Who carries around pictures of another dudes junk?  a fucking asshole that's who, not somebody who is trying to make our country better.  that said, it's smart of penis..err I mean, Weiner resigned now the republicans distraction is gone and we can get back to looking at these nutzo candidates.

Mitt Romney mormon panderer, liar extraordinaire.  hypocrite.

Herman Cain - loves pizza

Republicans, Conservatives, The Tea Party people all are a completely insane.  They ignore reality and replace it with rhetoric and hot air.  They're only goal now is to strip us of as many social programs as possible and deregulate as much as they can for big business.

You make great points darkglow, but the only thing I disagree with saying that the right has equally good ideas to the left.  the right simply does not.  their policies are proven failures.  trickle down, Reaganomics, flat taxes, etc etc.  failure after failure.  Pawlenty left his state with a 6billion dollar deficit, you can't tell me these guys have any real plan other than to help the wealthy because "it's the wealthy who creates jobs".   but they just invest it back into hedge funds and Ferrari's and other bullshit.  I will never understand why any member of the working poor would support republicans/conservative.  To be honest now after thinking about it I can't believe how anybody who is not in the upper 2percent would support these loons.
