it really is a shame that they're not playing the late night show. A classic MMJ 4 hour Bonnaroo set full of covers and rare gems would have been awesome.

no need for an encore.. that was a legendary way to close out a set like how they did at the end of OBH...

True, can't compete with the epicness of Bonnaroo '06 (or '04 or '08, though I wasn't there for those) in a strict time slot.

Dont mean to complain but i'd much rather them play a late night show on a smaller stage than open for a band on the main stage....

from my brief but observant festival experience.. the second to last show of each night is always the "headliner" in my eyes.. no matter who plays last..

think of it this way.. you see a band like MMJ and you think "how can that be topped? it cant" and you watch the main act for an hour or so and go back and party/get some rest afterwards.

it was like this at hangout :

Friday night - MMJ
Saturday night - Flaming Lips
Sunday night - Black Keys

I dont want to complain either, cause trust me I would see them a thousand times more regardless...but I.m a little bummed at the repetitive set list? I mean pretty much exact to Mountain Jam? I expected more from this tour, especially after T5... I thought they would play a bunch of songs that weren't played a lot in past tours? Whatever...still best band in the world
