My dog Otis gets amped up anytime there is a danceparty at the house. Took this picture tonight while rocking out, he couldn't contain himself and brought out the prized panda toy during Anytime:

I thought it was fitting for a panda to make an appearance during a Z song...

Well, glad I got the dang thing to work in time for Steam Engine! Definitely a smoother video stream than the Palace stream (though that one wasn't half bad once it got rolling!)

Good times.  Glad I'm not hauling shit back to my tent and trying to find a usable portapotty with my headlamp on haha  :P  (Though as always, it would've been sweet manna to have witnessed that live)  8)

I dont want to complain either, cause trust me I would see them a thousand times more regardless...but I.m a little bummed at the repetitive set list? I mean pretty much exact to Mountain Jam? I expected more from this tour, especially after T5... I thought they would play a bunch of songs that weren't played a lot in past tours? Whatever...still best band in the world

I kinda expect similar setlists for fests. They're not playing to just a "Jacket" crowd, so they have to try and get everyone into it,and grab some new fans along the way, imo.

As much as we'd love a Butch Cassidy,Evelyn, or I Think I'm Goin To Hell, I'm not sure they'd go over well with crowds who've never seen them.

Granted, Mt. Jam had 5 more songs (Day is Coming, PWW, Heartbreakin', It Beats 4 U, Carnival Time), but also 30 more minutes of stage time.

Some of tonight's performances were electric.

I will always leave a live (or webcast) performance wanting more.

Setlists were quite repetitive when the kicked of their tour in 2010.  Expect more diversity in July and August.

Good time, though  I think I've seen enough of the boots.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

I dont see how its possible for steam engine to get better and better everytime they play it, but it obviously is. that was sick.  :D

razral

That was a unbelievable show, wish i would have been at the Roo and the Mt. Jam! I still wouldn' t trade my Wakarusa set though, I love me some Lay Low! Like i said unbelievable show, but missing Lay Low and Phone Went West!

ALady

Aw man, wizzard's dog is cuuuuuute.  ;D
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

Chief Mageeetah

I thought the show was great but the crowd seemed lame, as in less than energetic.  Maybe the hot sun took it out of folks all day.  Did anyone else notice this?

Eric is wise beyond his years.  Festivals are always a blast but for a kick-ass diet of "so cool that they played that one", I think we got a better shot at a dedicated mmj show.  Will report back after Red Rocks & Merriweather Post.  ;)
was some shakin' and some record playin'

I hope there's some rest soon for JJ's voice, sounds like their schedule is catching up with his vocal cords!

Milwaukee, Chicago, and  Minny next week will give a nice glimpse into what typical sets look like.

I'd tend to agree, but as MR. YYac said the setlsts at the begining of the tour last year were a bit static at first, and loosened up as the tour went on.

Hopefully they enjoyed playing their whole catalog at T5 as much as we enjoyed witnessing it, and they'll want to vary their sets because of it.

I think getting PWW and Heartbreakin' Man at Mtn. Jam is a good sign that they'll be dipping into their whole bag of tricks, and pull out some gems along the way.
