Here's hoping Jim finds his voice again before Portland. Sounded painful. Still, amazing show.

Thank god for Where to Begin! Glad you guys got to see that. some of my buddies made it down for both Milwaukee and then Chi.

In Regards to Jim's voice sounding off.  I didn't hear the webcast, but i was at the show last night and they came off 6 days of rest from Bonnaroo and just laid into every song as hard as i've ever seen.  I think you guys heard exactly that in Chi as well. They played such extended and improv versions of everything, and he was at an ear piercing volume. My ears rang all today as evidence. I remember saying to myself several times on songs i've heard a million times... Man Bo is really putting some style into his playing tonight, he even played a soothing instrumental inbetween one of the slow songs, maybe Old Sept Blues.  and Patrick absolutely murdered the drums with vengeance and grace friday night.  I made eye contact with him in the front row a few times and he was divinely inspired.
There will be Bigotry and Open Minds*
There will be days of Peace~
I hope you have the Time^

Could someone post the setlist please?  :-* Went out last night, but totally regret not staying home and watching the webcast. My Morning Jacket is making me want to turn into a hermit....  ;D

Enjoyed a few text updates from twofingers and ALady. Sounds like the fundraiser was a HUGE success. Also received a pic of Crispy's beautiful dome...talk about sexting...  ;)

WHERE TO BEGIN!? Really? oh I hope that becomes a regular this tour....
Cow temperature.

/blushing/ Holy Fuck, that show was incredible. I was about 10 rows from being as far as possible from the stage, but most of the time I felt like I was on it.
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

The show was absolutely incredible & moving. And it sounded better than any Jacket show I've ever been too. The sound in the Auditorium is flawless.  Spinning Circuital now, can't get enough.  8)

And so it's a new chapter in MMJ history. Listened to Sweatbees yesterday, the musical progression of this band has been something to behold! Great to hear so many new songs and songs like Circuital, Victory Dance and Black Metal translate so well live, they hit you smack dab in between the eyes, lift you up and carry you with them. I missed hearing songs from At Dawn, but I am not complaining. Hell, I would quit my job and see every show on the tour if I could. The band has a growing catalog of fab songs. Steam Engine and WTB felt like, as Jim described the theater, "a gift from God." Blessed to have been there at all....

I agree with those who said it's amazing Jim doesn't pass out.  (We were saying the same thing.) I didn't hear any scratchiness in his voice at all. I hope it's taped regardless. Being there was enough but that's like a little icing.  Tommy took off his jacket I noticed later, not sure when though. He's such a dapper dude. Carl is just f*cking untouchable. He is the secret weapon (nicely put). Bo was more animated than I recall seeing him but maybe that was just a function of being ABLE to see him from the seats we had last night. And Patrick, sweet Patrick - a powerhouse on the skins also showing a swingy side last night.

Dear MMJ, don't ever leave us!!
But seein you feels good, and its always understood.

This show was a last minute decision and I was on the 2nd balcony toward the back, but it was still in my top handful of memorable jacket shows

The pre show gathering/auction, the awesome setlist, the amazing venue, the performance, Jims rants, my hotel being literally across the street, running into the band more than once outside the venue, and the excitement of waking up and deciding to to come the day of made yesterday such a great fucking day.
Carl I think might be my favorite person on Earth out of all people I don't know.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Great great show. First show of the tour with a real mixed up setlist. Touch me pt. 2 was played early and they never looked back. Honest man had such a great a jam. Where to begin reminded me of night one, Chicago theatre in 2008. As for the classics, dancefloors really soared tonight, but so did everything. Extended outro to OBH killed.

Re: Jim sounding off, couldnt tell at the show. What did people think of the mix? I thoght it was overwhelmingly loud. Been to 7 jacket shows and seen several shows at the aud. Theatre before and this was far and away the loudest.

It was louder than any show I've ever seen there. Wicked loud, but great.

I hope it raised a ton of money.  Mercy home is such a good cause I wish I had ben able to do more for them. And a special thanks to rusty for delivering the circuital single from his raffle.      Sorry fir the rambling post my brain was literally blown to bits last night. ;D
