was anyone else's mind BLOWN by Dondante last night? That was absolutely intense. They just wouldn't stop!

I was hoping for Dondante. That was just amazing.
I NEEDED IT MOST WHENEVER tbh

That baseball card is pretty awesome.  So happy my sis picked up an extra for me in my absence.

Anyone remember the kid who freaked out at T5 before It Still Moves? Was butting in line upstairs and later literally tried to push me and Crispy off the rail because I was holding Dan's spot while he was getting a poster? Not only was he there last night, but he's sitting next to me. How in the name of God does that happen? He actually apologized and tried talking but he just freaks me out, I gave him one of the baseball cards in the hopes he'd just leave me alone.  Worked for the most part.

Great setlist and I love being able to hang out in the lot longer but I can't lie, seats take away from it for me. 4th row in the pit is certainly nothing to bat an eye at but its just not the same as being right on the rail inches from the band. To me its like a roller coaster: its a great ride anywhere but theres nothing like the front, and if you're gonna do it at all, you might as well do the right way.  Im sure the band notices too. Most pits are a few inches from the stage, when they'd walk out here there was a 4 ft security-manned chasm between the audience and the stage. There was a decent contingent from the board and it was great to see some folks one last time before a bit of a hiatus. Ms. Yvon and the Pittsburgh crew were missed though.

Also just wondering, did Bo sound especially badass last night? Seems like they're stretching songs in new spots (beginning and between the verses of Dondante, earlier in Lay Low) and he has more opportunities to stand out a bit. Maybe it was just me but at least half a dozen times last night I caught myself thinking "Damn Bo!".
Say friend, you got any more of that good sasparilla?

I agree, he is sounding better and better all the time and featured a bit more I think which is a good thing!
So, I do believe.....

Holy SHIT, that guy? And he was sitting right next to you?! I think I would have had a goddamn heart attack seeing him again. Rarely have I ever felt active malice towards a person, but that kid almost wrecked that T5 show with those antics and then more nonsense during the ISM set. Good to hear he apologized, and kudos to you for being civil.

Also: YES, lots of great Bo moments at my last show, Red Rocks!

Dude, it was absolutely surreal. Hit the bathroom after Neko's set, walking back to the seats and I see him from behind but I already knew it was him. I literally stopped dead in my tracks and said "Terminal 5...the kid...Dan Im serious thats the fucking kid from T5". I dont think he believed me at first but he got a good look at him and his face registered this strange cross between shock and hilarity. When you think about it I guess the chance of running into him again would be fairly decent if he goes to a lot of shows, but it was still surreal. I was gonna shoot you a message, knew you'd get a kick out of it.

"Terminal 5...the kid...Dan Im serious thats the fucking kid from T5".  ;D I would have had that same look on my face.

It wouldn't be that nutty to spot The Kid at a show, but to have him in the very next seat truly would be surreal. And no surprise to hear he didn't have the sense to be there for Neko's set.

I didnt bash him, I said he freaks me out. I was civil, and thats more than a lot of people would be. If you witnessed the scene I think you'd have a different opinion.

My Morning Tube top

SO here's my second attempt to sum up the amazing night after I somehow erased my last post...

Two unexpected East Coast shows for me. Under the "guise" of visiting my family, really hoping my mom isn't a forum member undercover.

Many Thanks to Eric M. for my front row seat next to Janecool in front of Karl!!!! Eric is one generous soul and I am so glad he wound up across the row from us, especially to high five him during Cobra and his personal request for a PWW!!!! Not enough words...
:dankk2:

I swear last night there was recognition of all the crazy bastards they see up front at shows across the country. So great to look around the pit and see so many familiar smiling faces melting and just plain loosing their sh%t. I loved seeing Penny up front landing her much deserved high five to her pickle man, Janecools intimate hand hold made me blush (did anyone get a shot?), and props to the guy at the end of the show's front row "excitement can no longer be contained" sweep during OBH, Nice Work!

This was my sixth show of the tour and let me just say it was unreal. Who ever posted the thread that all the setlists have been the same, well last night most certainly broke through that comment. Everything sounded a bit different in all the right ways, change ups, played faster, slower, teased, taunted and delivered. So Grateful I traveled through four states to get there.

Karl did indeed flash his pearly whites several times. Taking to the side stage like the guitar god he is, the slide, sax and SDMHA Petty was spot on, sounded so good.

I do believe I giggled yet again when to my amazement Tom was back to crowd, on his knees. This could have been an equipment check, but in my mind he was getting funky on the ground. He and Jim were getting cheeky during Cobra. PWW was fully reggaed out again, the bass leading the way.

Clock arms was in full effect. Patrick was on fire, blowing those drums right off the stage. I title last night "Lobster revenge".

Eric M. and I had been talking after BofA Pavilion how we both really want to see Bo let loose with some solo time on the keys. I have to say he was heard last night. I am waiting for a Robert Walters like session, which I know will be any day now.

Yimity Yammers, awe it was a soulful Jim up there. Less of a stomping night and more hip swiveling gyrating in body in face. His Egyptian like moves in Cobra cracked me up with Tom & Karl playing along, so great to get Cobra!!! I feel like he is singing more so on this tour with eyes open really connecting with the crowd. When you make eye contact with him, it feels blinding like the sun. I want to look away but Momma that's where the fun is...

Neeko, such a beautiful voice. Loved hearing SDMHA, Dolly & Kenny are great, but Stevie & Tom take the cake. Neeko and Jim were sharing the love and her back up band was awesome. It was apparent that there was much love on the tour between them all, awe!

I have to say my personal favorite moments were turning to see all the smiles on the great forum/rollcall/T5 familiar faces. I may have exchanged only brief hellos to some, but consistently such great people. MMJ fans seem to be a reflection of the band; generous, quick witted, light hearted, soulful peeps, who time and time again go out of there way for each other. Many were missed last night too, but there in spirit. I am truly touched, Part II of course.

Props and thanks to CC and gang for the rollcall this summer. Last night summarized what I hope continues from the rollcall. Similar fans, old and new who are incredibly grateful to be there, up front bouncing back the love the band is throwing at us. We all hope and expect so much in the best ways. The sacrifices from each band and crew member from their personal lives to give us great shows should be rewarded by our smiles, high fives, intimate hand holds and rockin air guitaring.

Europe anyone?

New Years, where or where are you? NYC always calls, the weather in California is not too frightful then either, just sayin... Come west young men...

Hoping to post some pics and Videos before I was told not to video...

Grrrrreat review, TubeTop! Makes me wish even more that I could have made it to this one.

Yeah, snufus, I bashed The Kid some, sorry. Like J said, you should have seen how this guy acted at T5. It's good that he apologized, but it still would have been weird. "Security!"

Also, I was half-joking about not showing up for Neko -- although intentionally missing her when one has a ticket does seem like a good indication of mental deficiency. Damn, sorry again.
