When his "blood filled with gold" during first light and then "radiates the gold" during slow slow tune.
There's Still Time.........

Good thread because I really think this is a great lyrical album for Jim:

Wonderful:   "I can learn from way back and still live right now"

Day is Coming: "You need it, thats for sure, you recieve but always want more."
If you don't know for yourself, how could you ever know for me....

Tieoptional

Any ideas on what "gotta radiate the gold" is intended to mean?

Is it literal (applying radiation to gold), or is it referring to radiating (expressing, showing) a personal warmth and mellow glow? Or something completely else?
The river's long... it is cold. It chills the body but not the soul.

I like to think it's sharing the glow.

This is my favorite lyric as well.  I tell it to my gf all the time now...she's gettin' sick of hearing it. But shit, it's soooo fuckin' true.

I'm with you on this one. That line is great, as well as the lyrics to the entire song. This song perfectly sums up my (and I imagine A LOT of)  relationship(s). My girlfriend definitely ain't gettin hers if she ain't gettin mine, and I wanna freak out all the time, and she knows how she is. (though she chooses to ignore it).

Other than that - "Somewhere in the future listening, I hope the present for ya's glistening..."

YWFO is my favorite song in all aspects of the record.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

The Day is Coming - Bang bang, on the door. You open not knowing what for

Slow Slow Tune - Slow, daddy's playing just for you.  The tempos right, i'm in a mellow mood

Moving Away - A new life to create.  A new little life

La barba de Castro

Slow Slow Tune- "Grown with a meter all your own
You decide the pace you set the tone
                             The future now you own!"

Movin Away - "Don't know quite why
                       But I was feeling unsatisfied
I had to get out now
                       Trying to find it"
