Anyhow, I won't write much about him here, I just ask you to read about him.

Im Swedish, but I've heard & read that in the last presidential election Paul was censored a lot in the mainstream media, which is clearly strange..  so I decided to read more about him ~

Brief Overview of Congressman Paul's Record:

    * He has never voted to raise taxes.
    * He has never voted for an unbalanced budget.
    * He has never voted for a federal restriction on gun ownership.
    * He has never voted to raise congressional pay.
    * He has never taken a government-paid junket.
    * He has never voted to increase the power of the executive branch.
    * He voted against the Patriot Act.
    * He voted against regulating the Internet.
    * He voted against the Iraq war.
    * He does not participate in the lucrative congressional pension program.
    * He returns a portion of his annual congressional office budget to the U.S.               -treasury every year.

Here is some links which gives you a bigger perspective of him & what he stands for;

If you think he might be worth giving your vote, at leat read about him, and make sure to vote in the next election.

Tell your friends & family to read about him & maybe just not follow the main stream media which will censure him in the upcoming election as well, eventually the media might give him more space.

Thanks for reading!

he's not worth voting for.  he's unelectable.  plus, he wants to dissolve the fed and change our currency to silver and gold.  he's a smart man but way too out there to ever be president.  when he loses the primaries he'll probably run as an independent and siphon votes from the dems.  we shall see tho.

It may be very hard if not impossible to get an independent into our broken bipartisan system but he will still get my vote

but his aim has never been at the democratic base.  ever.  he's not even trying to score points with the republican base, merely using the debates as a platform.  you're right that he'll siphon some repub votes away but there are so many college kids these days that are into ron paul.  the radical liberals who want to want the system completely gutted. he has that same obama internet presence and raises ridiculous amounts of money fast.   he'd have a chance if he could get the nomination and it was up to the general public I think but other than that he's basically Ralph Nader 2.0.  similarly Nader split the votes giving bush a slight opening against Gore if you ask me.

I used to think right now we need a 3 party system but then I realized if that happened it'd probably end up being moderate democrats, conservative republicans, and tea baggers.

I'm sick of all the god shit too.  I want some openly agnostic or atheist representatives.  this christian bs drives me nuts.  Dems seem to coast on religion far less than conservatives.  so for now the only real choice seems to be democrat, unless you're rich.  but the god topic is another issue that makes Ron Paul appealing to liberals, drugs is another thing.  he can appeal to both sides if he wants to easily, which is what I think gives him so much momentum.  plus, he's a really good talker regardless of his nutty policy ideas.

...and in spite of believing this, they choose to ignore about 90% of the guidance in the bible.  I mean, if I really thought that my soul would roast in hell for eternity, I think I'd put a bit of effort into following the basics - do unto others etc etc.

Somewhat tangential, I watched this last night on Netflix:

For The Bible Tells Me So - Trailer

Fascinating doc, I gotta say. Basically, it's a bunch of various Jesus-loving denomination believers/leaders explaining how anyone who tells you the Bible is about hating gay people is an uneducated twit who never read the book they're quoting.

Also I'm pretty much a hard libertarian, none of this tea party crap. Also, notice the small l there.

Dr. Paul gets a bit too theistic and his economics bother me.

why do people support this guy?  it's not 1913, the founding fathers were slave owners, some of whom raped the fuck out of their slaves.  were miserable people really.  Madison only cared about private property rights when it came to motives for writing the constitution.   fuck ron paul, he will ruin us all.  deregulation of corporation, elimination of the EPA, the gold standard and dissolving the fed.  all completely INSANE fucking ideas.   whatever transition that takes place has to be gradual.  people act like ron paul will have some dictoral power obama doesn't.  it's a load of shit you people are being sold.  when you dig deep down into what this dude believes you will realize it's nonsense and could never happen over a 4year process.  fuck ron paul, his libertarian supports are under the biggest spell of all, the idea that he could actually get elected.

You could say just as many things above about the status quo except the last sentence.  Look at where we're at before you say "Ron Paul will ruin us all" Eventually we'll have to have an independent candidate win or we're sunk, dead before the ship even sank

People aren't going to be bartering for goods with silver and gold coins.

Ron Paul said today that the creation of a sound U.S. currency, "backed by gold or some other commodity respected by the market" was the most important first step to create new jobs and encourage capital investment in America.

1.The U.S. economy cannot be restored, according to Ron Paul, until we "prohibit the Treasury and Federal Reserve from essentially creating money and credit from thin air."

We could sit here all week arguing about this but I'd rather not.   You believe and vote for who you want to vote for.  the most important thing is that we all vote if we're going to bitch about it.  anyway, yes, Ron Paul would ruin our country.  I'm not going to defend either side of the one party, two faction power system we've got going but at the same time I'm not going to give up my own personal integrity to back a dude that's full of shit.  The EPA shit alone is enough for me.  The free market doesn't correct shit if there are no rules.  all that happens is the proverbial walmarts of world come in run wages down while stripping their employees of all rights and benefits.  If you think corporations need more power you have probably received serious head trauma at some point in your life.

The supreme court treats them as people now.  if you really break it down corporations have more power than we do as citizens.  and you want to give these mother fuckers more power? you want natural gas and oil companies to decide how big of an impact they are having on our environment when they're already using every loophole they can to squeeze every penny they can?  fuck those mother fuckers and fuck ron paul for being down with it.

this illusion that some magical 3rd party "independent" is going to schwoop in and save us is absolutely and completely utterly ridiculous.   you've got a democrat president who is pushing policy that is basically something a moderate republican would push and the republicans are being jerk offs, what makes you think those republicans would ever in a million years let you fuck with their money?  they've spent 3 years bitching about rolling tax rates back on the rich 3percent.  3 fucking percent and you think Ron Paul is going to do all these magnificant things?  seems like you've got Obama syndrome and let me tell you, you're in for a rude awakening.  one day Ron's all "man I love gold lets burn this money" the next day he's cruising around in his benz getting bj's in the front seat.

you can't get anything done with this congress.  they're the problem.  they're owned and persuaded.  they've signed pledges.   ron paul is not an independent he is a fucking republican.  deal with it.  soak it in.  if you register republican and vote republican you're a fucking republican people.  (not directed at you sweat)

he is smart in a, never going to be president kind of way.  before he was a career politician he was a doctor right?  a doctor who doesn't think anyone has a right to live unless they pay for it.  what fucking straight up bullshit.  for profit healthcare systems are bullshit and do not work, they fuck us.

the gold standard is one of his ideas that will never in a million years happen.  we have a population that's growing now by the hundreds of millions.  the types of policies he wants to pass might have worked back then but our population is almost 3times as big, we're globalized.  http://geography.about.com/od/obtainpopulationdata/a/worldpopulation.htm

eventually when gold becomes scarce, what do we do?  at some point there won't be enough gold for everyone.  peak gold yo.  (just made that up, somebody make a youtube documentary).

these policies are pre-human flight.  they bunk mang.  the dude sticks to his position but his position is fucked.
