I don't hate on anyone for not getting to see the jacket, but if there's one place in the world that i wouldn't mind if they didn't play it would be new york city. T5 that's all i have to say, that's enough jacket marmalade to last a lifetime.

e_wind

i think they should stop in NYC and every other city they possibly can, but with the YUM center, I think jacket can afford to play a New Years show at home  :)

though if they do an NYE show or a 3 night run in nyc this year I'll be there
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

It would be a nice trip to go back to NYC in the fall or winter months to see a show again.

Hello everyone!  I figure my first post better have some meat to it.  I'm hearing MSG in Dec... 1, maybe 2 nights.  That is all...

mjk73

jeeze, does NYC really need another "special" show? I say no.

oistheone

For the sake of my financial standing, I sincerely hope that is a completely baseless fabrication.

However, should it prove true, I'm so fucking there.

exactly, i would love to see a news eve run in there hometown or somewhere in the midwest. I mean the new album is all about coming full circle. Might as well have a 3 run night somewhere i can afford. Louisville, chi-town, nashville, etc.

yeah but they've already played l'ville, chicago,etc.. this year.

3 more months and the T5 run will have been a full year ago which is the last time i saw them? no that's a lie. i went to mountain jam (not even in NYC) and was able to go to the storytellers taping  the latter of which was beyond speciality / not everyone could go .. therefore it doesn't count as a show in NYC?

anywho .. halloween show in nyc, yes please !

So by your theory they should never play Bonarroo again, since they've played several great shows there, it should suffice for Tennessee.  ::)

Yes T5 memories will last my lifetime, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to make some more. NYC is the greatest city in the world, imo, and as such should get as many Jacket shows as the band wants to give us.

Here's hoping for another RUN of them.

Hey, I'm all for a NYC show or two or three, especially if I can go.  High population density, great venues, can't really argue about it.  Also can't see NYC area residents complaining they don't get enough live MMJ.  Its part of what you get when you live where you live.  How many times has MMJ, or any major (and decent) band played New Hampshire?  Not cost effective and what I get for living here.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Non Sin Breaux

much more respect to MMJ for pacing themselves and skipping NYC instead of spoiling them again

Just curious if you'll lose some of that respect when a NYC show/s are announced?  ;)

Why would any band skip the largest market in the Country? Doesn't make sense, imo.

Besides they want some great pizza.

New Orleans would be fun too...right???  :embarassed:

I'd really like to know where the highest concentration of Jacket fans reside. And I would bet that the greater New York area is in the running if not at the very top.

Why am I making an argument for you yanks again?!  >:(

hey, if you live or work in or near nyc, you never need to defend nyc.
ain't no place else like it. good and bad but it's got so  much to it.
and sorry, doesn't matter that they were here for nye at msg, radio city or t5.
how many other towns/cities have as many awesome music venues as nyc and bklyn? ya gotta keep playing nyc. nyc is about music and there are not too many bands or artists who are really into music more than mmj and jim.

a tour ain't gonna be a tour unless you play nyc.

imo.

ok, some of you can attack me now.

I doubt that would happen, but it sure sounds good. ;)

Whenever they play the Yum Center I'll be there again for sure. NYE would be fine by me.

I just hope there is a NYE show somewhere this year.  8)
