How does this work? Do you have to pay to get in?

They were never available at autograph tents at Ottawa Blues Fest or Lollapalooza this year, nor was there such a thing at Mountain Jam.  They're fairly accessible guys but  I had assumed they weren't into the whole autograph tent/table thing.  Apparently not always.  Say hi to the boys for me.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

They did a record store day signing in Lexingon this year

Went to this last year and got to meet all members of MOF. Waterloo Records sponsors this tent (they have a tent next door and they sell gear and music by the festival artists, mostly for fans to purchase and get signed). As you can imagine, the lines are extremely long and there is no guarantee you will get to meet the band. Photos are allowed but they don't let you "pose" with the artists (to keep it moving fast), you just need to have a friend willing to snap a shot during the interaction, like my awesome wife did for me. Not sure how to post photos on here but I will definitely share later if I figure it out. They announce this line-up so late (one week before), so last year all we could bring in was an 8 1/2 X 11 photo (thanks fedex kinko's or whatever it is called now) of Jim I took earlier that year at Jazzfest. We only wanted Jim's #37 sig on my photo, but we also wanted all of MOF (and didn't want to be rude to Montgomery Ward, Conor, Mike and Will), so now we have a frisbee signed by MOF! Anyway, that is how it works, and now that this has been announced, I need to decide what to get signed! Thinking Okonokos Vinyl Cover, Oakland Show Poster from this year, or MSG NYC show poster, so let me know what you think I should do! Sorry for the long response, but I am very fired up about this!!!

No, just go to the tent early (I would say 4:00 at the latest) and just ask around where the MMJ line is. There are several lines for different bands.

I know there's mixed feelings on this, but I wouldn't get an amazing poster like the MSG one signed. It's artwork.

When I met them I got the cicuital 12" single signed. I have two posters signed basically because it's all I had readily available after the show, one of which I bought an extra of post show.

However, it is your poster to do with what you please

Sweet Nothing

Agree with e_wind on not having the posters signed by the band instead go with the vinyl signed if that's the items you have it down too.  But as e_wind said it is your poster to do as you please with but i would recommend keeping the posters signature free.  Hope this is of some help and enjoy the show and meeting Jim!

Is this inside the festival grounds? Because if so, I would advise against bringing your posters to be signed. There are too many ways it could get destroyed (it could get dirty, crushed, wet, lost, etc).
