War Memorial Auditorium? I'm going to see M. Ward there next week. Do I need to join RollCall to find this stuff out?

Good guess but nope..

They will be holding on to black and GOLD metal..
Oh! That is so  much better! Vanderbilt's gym is way bigger than War Memorial. And the 22nd would be so much easier to get someone else to go with me.

Assuming they play Memorial it is fair to say they have played more different venues in Nashville than your average big name band

Ryman
Riverfront
Lawn at Vandy
Memorial Gym
Municipal

What am I missing? Exit/In?

They played Exit/In 2x; also played The Slow Bar and City Hall (now closed).

There will be some other decent acts as well..

Agree. Was really hoping for the Ryman. I hate Memorial Gym... and Vandy students.  :embarassed:

The show at University of Kentucky earlier this year had THE WORST crowd ever

The only other possible venue I could imagine in Nashville is the new Woods Amphitheatre at the Fontanel Mansion.  I know some big acts have been coming through since they opened recently (Widespread for example).

I hope to God they don't play at Vanderbilt.  My worst concert experiences in Nashville ( I live here) have all been at Vanderbilt.  And it has never had anything to do with disappointment in the band.  Those students are the worst and have no respect for the bands or the music.  It always ends up being a Fratboy douchebag & Sorostitute ho-down.  Last show I saw there (The Flaming Lips)  I left telling myself I would never go to another show at Vandy.  MMJ would be the only band I would break this self-imposed rule for.

well hopefully Memorial will be a little better than the lawn for Flaming Lips and MMJ years ago since there is some organization and most of the students will be on the floor in the same area

if it is Saturday night it will be trouble as well bc that is homecoming and the students will have been drinking since early in the AM with no stopping

Maybe homecoming would convince them not to go....

no, unfortunatley this is what you do for homecoming.. drink all day.. football game (most dont go to) concert/party at night

NoCode is right about that. It looks to be as enjoyable a crowd as the Tuscaloosa show unless it happens at a different venue. Granted not all of Vanderbilt are frat boys and sorority girls.

Keep in mind, wherever the show is, it probably won't be an amphitheater. It'll be awfully cold by late October.

Vanderbilt is awful. I went to Rites of Spring this year, and the crowd was absolutely terrible.
