I'm hoping someone will be able to cough up a GA ticket as the time gets closer. (Maybe a friend will bail??) Worse comes to worse, I'll buy a seat and visit with everyone before at the bar...

Giggity.

I made a prediction on another thread somewhere that west GA prices on the broker sites will come down before the show.   That hasn't been the case yet so I may be wrong but I still believe it will happen.    If you look at East GA, they have dropped a lot- for example stubhub has some for $59 which is below face.   Who is going to buy the hundred or so west GA tix floating out there on stubhub, ebay, ticketsnow, etc?   When most of the hardcore faithful have tix.   We will see.   In short, hang in there!

I just want to put something out here....into the forum universe.  And believe me, I don't want to sound judgmental or fresh or ungrateful by any means, but I can no longer hold my peace.

I think it's high time that Jim retires the touring outfit he has been wearing since August 2010.  I know, I know...it's awful for me to say.  I just want to enjoy his beauty in a different color scheme.  The black on black on brown is no longer doing it for me.  I was watching the 06 video of Letterman in the tux, and the white shirt just really brings out his lovely complexion and sets off his gorgeously highlighted locks.

I know, I know, it's shallow.  I just need something a little different.
Thanks for understanding.  :D

Whatever you do Ky, don't buy a ticket outside MSG unless you know the seller. Too many real looking fakes out there. Printed on TM stock too.

It's also illegal to buy/sell tix even at face on the block MSG is on. I've seen it enforced many times. I've also seen people buy/sell tix there, but it's not worth the risk, imo. Much easier to buy/sell hassle free across the street.

I wonder how much sweat those clothes have had to handle.  Between the set lists and the outfits, they're definitely creatures of habit.

But at the Unstages show they wore rainbowish tuxedos.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Talk about hot, the man wore those freakin' fur boots at bonnaroo! Seriously, how does he wear that coat and the boots all summer long. While he does give me a serious heat stroke, I'd really hate for him to have one.

Bigsky

That is too funny...

Jim does need some new threads and maybe a new cape

I agree with and like Magh33ta's thinking.  No way the brokers will sell all those tickets.  I'm going to have to make the trip up to NYC a last minute type thing.  I predict (hope) the prices will be around face the week of show.

I know the crooks with fake tickets are all about NYC for expensive shows or sold out events.  I've been burned for Rangers hockey tickets about 10 years ago.  Are the counterfeit ticket sellers a constant in NYC now?  More importantly, are they likely to be around for this show considering ticket availability and low face value?

If there's something happening at The Garden, sold out or not, they're there. At non sellouts they'll be there offering better seats than at the Box office. Even if they get face for it, it's still a nice profit for a fake.

It just occurred to me tonight that we have two-and-a-half weeks until this shindig!!!

lil sis

Ky: You have to make this happen!!!!  :D
"There's still time for you to change your mind or whatever else you do."

JaneCool

I concur on the Jim needing new threads concept!  ;D

I have a question, sorry if it has been discussed elsewhere, but what time do you all recommend getting in line? Do we know what time the doors open?
So, I do believe.....

Penny Lane

I think all of you should get in line around 7.  ;)

Don't know about doors, but the plan so far is to get to Stout early afternoon for the pre party, and keep checking in at MSG to see if a line is forming. It's only 1/2 a block away, and I'd imagine we could get a few volunteers to make a run every so often. I'd be up for one or two.
