Maggie I am working downtown that day West Village and East Village. If you wanted to cab to where I'm at, I could give you spare keys and you could drop your stuff at mine. Let me know....

Something of an odd question...my friend and I will be getting in around 9:30 that morning, but can't get into our rental until like 4.  What can we do with our bags?  Any suggestions?

check with your hotel. they usually let you store you baggage until you can check in. hotels i've stayed in let us do this on days we've had to check in and check out.

If we were staying at a hotel, I would certainly do that.  ;)  We're renting an apartment, and can't check in (or leave bags) until 4.

I have checked bags many many times at hotels I am not staying at, for convenience.   Just find one close to your apartment and check them there.   If asked, say that you are checking in later, or checked out and are storing them for the day.    Get a claim slip, nice tip when you return, and you are good to go!

Hey WOman!  So, I was poking around the Penn Station site, and found some information, but it's kind of sketchy:

Pennsylvania Station does store luggage, but the facility can be hard to find. Do ask a uniformed Amtrak employee for assistance at the station if you have difficulty finding it. Generally, you need to be able to present a train ticket to use this service, but not always. Costs are moderate. This option is most useful if you intend to travel via Amtrak, or if you will take NJ Transit/AirTrain to Newark Airport. Perhaps less stressful and more convenient would be Schwartz Travel at 357 West 36th Street, which offers luggage storage, luggage forwarding, small lockers, a coat check and a modest self-storage facility. They charge $6 to $10 per bag per 24 hour period and are open daily from 8 am to 8 pm.
here is the website for schwartz --  http://www.schwartztravel.com/

My train arrives at Penn Station at 1:50, I'll have no luggage, so I will be on the streets outside MSG at 2pm.  If I don't see any familiar faces at the station, I will head straight for Stout and see you all there!  Glad to see KY and Maggie and the other late additions to an all-star cast.  We will OWN GA West AND the rail!  We will shout out to our seated breathren and they will respond!

2 weeks!!!

Countdown To MMJ @ MSG in NYC

Woo hoo! Penn Station is so close to Stout, why don't you check on Will Call on your way from the train and let us know!  ;) :)

Will do.  Box office opens at 9 AM.

Other info, from the MSG website:

Gate Times

Doors for Madison Square Garden Arena and Theater events open one hour prior to event start time.  (Official start time, for BoH, is 7:30 PM)

Will Call

The Will Call window is located at Window #5 and, at times, at adjacent windows in the Madison Square Garden Box Office. If you are picking up tickets at Will Call, please bring valid photo ID and the credit card used to purchase the tickets. Please be aware that the Will Call window generally closes one hour after the event start time.

If you purchased your tickets from Ticketmaster, you may also utilize the Ticketmaster kiosks located directly outside the MSG Box Office. The kiosks are available during normal Box Office operation hours. Please be advised you must have the credit card used to purchase the tickets.

Aw, you guys are great!  Thanks so much for all the tips...I'll figure something out.

So my wife went and got pregnant and she won't be able to stand for the entire show in the West GA section.  I was able to get some additional tickets up in the handicapped section - where we'll have room to sit and stand if she needs to - but my loss is your gain.  I have two Roll Call West GA tickets available I now need to unload.  I need to pick them up at Will Call but if you'll be at the show, we can meet up and I'll pass off the tickets.  Asking no more than face value (whatever that is, I honestly don't remember).  Wish I could be down there in the pit, but hopefully these tix go to someone who will enjoy them as much as we would have!

From an email that I just received:

First of all, we just wanted to say we hope you're as excited as we are about the upcoming shows. These shows are sure to be a blast!  We also wanted to send you a quick reminder  reminder that all pre - sale tickets and Soundcheck bundles are Will Call only. You will be able to pick up your tickets on the night of the show at the venue by showing an ID and your confirmation email.  There will be a separate window for "Roll Call" members, so you won't have to wait in a ridiculously long line.  If you have any questions, or require accessible seating please contact our ticket hotline at (212) 420-8500 or email tickets@artistarena.com

I just realized I finish the semester on Friday, have a weekend, and then catch a plane to NYC. What a good way to end the hardest semester of school I've yet had. Cannot wait.

This show is supposed to be a big one, so I'm hoping for some covers. And some balloons. The whole nine yards.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Can anyone tell me how the view would be from East GA? Thank you and see you all at the garden. Sing loud!  ;D :D

I know MSG is huge compared to Vanderbilts coliseum, but I was on the "2nd" rail there and it was better than the back of the first section. No people in front of you and a rail to lean on

I'm so ready for this show. My students take their end of course exams on Wednesday, and then we have to do some little units to kill time until exams. By then it will be time for this show and the school's out for two weeks! It has been a long semester. We started August 2. I can't wait! I've been planning my trip today, getting everything finalized.
