I think its time that MMJ lets the forum or Roll Call members vote for 25 total songs to be played at one of their up coming shows. All 25 songs should be exclusively theirs (I think we can all sacrifice a cover or two). It may be easier using strictly fan club members.  Each Roll Call member gets 25 votes. Top 25 songs get played based on Roll Call votes.  Could it work???

rincon

Of course it could work. The only factor is if they would do it. I think it is a good idea, but I doubt they would consider it.

if they did that it would also have to be a special event. it couldn't just be at a random show stop.

i'd vote for twilight 12 times and rollin back 13
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

I see, Sensei, that I must study longer to achieve your level of achievement. One day, perhaps....

I agree 99.9999999%. It's their show. They're the ones who make a living from it. I assume the OP feels how I do about it. It's never gonna happen, but it'd be damn cool.

However, at the Unstaged Show they let the fans vote on song. Steam engine won, and I don't even know what the other options were.

Butch Cassidy and I Will Be There When You Die, I believe.

I pretty much agree.  MMJ clearly don't make music to please any audience.  They attract an audience that enjoys what they choose to play.  I have to respect their choices as to what they play, which takes a lot more into consideration than just, "hey, what song has johnnYYac not heard live yet?"  The fact that they did T5 suggests they can definitely pull off their full catalog.  But they've also made it clear that there are some songs they no longer like and others (OBH) they have always enjoyed performing.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Also, half the songs were written before this lineup was the band (or at least all of them) ..so I could see why they'd want to play more of the songs they wrote together..
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill
