So, which version of "Outta My System" do you prefer?

I love the song "Outta My System". When I first heard it I wasn't floored, because I much prefer Jim's lyrics when they're mystical and perplexing rather than straightforward and kinda cute, but it really grew on me.  I now marvel at the simple magic of this song.  I also love playing a solo blues version of it at home.

When I first heard the "Alternate Universe Take", I sorta laughed because it was cuter and weirder and reminded me of Muppets.  But now I love THAT version too!  The weirdness of it is reminiscent of "Into The Woods", another song that is simultaneously sorta a weird joke and awesome.

In conclusion, I think the album version is much more at home on Circuital than the Alternate Universe Version, though both are great and have been cranked consistently for the past week.  Just wanted to ramble about my love for it.  Got any insight on one or the other?

I like both, for different reasons.  The album cut is my favorite, but I believe the alternate take was likely intended to mimic the Muppet sound for the ill-fated Electric Mayhem Band project.  I posted a comment about this on The Steam Engine, but I'm not sure if it'll post.  They used it for their latest Kick Off Your Weekend segment.

It's a lot easier to play it with a capo on two like Jim does.  The chord forms would change to F#>E  B>A  C#>B
