Jacket has an announcement tomorrow at 11am.  Has to be this right?
Don't you ever turn it off

Since Forecastle also has an announcement at 11am tomorrow....

...and Forecastles announcement says "in a crowded room"

Northern Neighbour

This little festival takes place during the last weekend of the Ottawa Bluesfest.  Unless the acts for the last weekend here sucks, maybe a short trip to Louisville will be in the works.  The wife and I really enjoyed our first visit to Louisville a couple of years ago and would love to go back.

Me neither.  Trying to convince Michele to have us a family vacation.  Maybe if we fly to her folks' place in Illinois to sweeten the deal, leave the kids with Papa and Mimi, then 4.5 hour drive to Louisville.  It could work.

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

That's a win-win!  Family time...grandparents time...couple time...and MMJ time!! :)

I keep hearing people talk about forecastle and a field in shelbyville. Obviously the Fest is on the waterfront but I keep thinking about the farm where ttf and ad were made
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

e_wind

Forevastle is also supposed to have a couple events leading up to the festival. Could be a stand alone thing

Oh, sweet.  Was just talking to my dudebro about this last night....would be cool if it came together!
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

This would be a very easy festival to go to. If they play, I will definitely go. Also, did I mention how much better festivals are that don't require camping?

ALady

Amen, sister (and I like to camp ;D).

This looks like a good one :D!
I've been waiting for the right show and timing to make the pilgrimage to the hometown.

Looks like the July, 2011, north of the border contingent - Northern Neighbor, JohnnyYYac and myself - may be up for a southern redux this July.

Working on the better half as we speak.

(Johnny, I managed to sell the family vacation thing for Toronto and Ottawa last year - good luck with that!)

This is a hard sell.  Traveling with three kids (3, 7, 10) by car is too much to ask.  Flying all 5 of us is too much to spend.  Airfare roundtrip is $350 per person; not bad but that's just getting there and home.  Combining with a trip to the grandparents, same issues re: time and $$$.  Going alone leaves Michele home with the girls on her and Lauren's birthdays.  Hmmmm.  Might miss another epic Jacketfest.

Maybe you could pick up some tutoring or start coaching something. Or just start making meth with Jesse Pinkman. I know you've taught at least one of those; we all have.

Not a problem.  We're half way from Boston to the promised land and have plenty of room. The kids could even camp out in the backyard if they want.  After seeing some sights in Baltimore/DC, and acting like you're interested, you could then head out with the clan to the ultimate destination.

I'd be totally down for this!  We went to the 2008 waterfront show and I fell in love with Louisville!

Absolutely 100% certain that I will be at this...if they are playing. I am at work right now and will be asleep when the roll call announcement comes out. I hate getting announcements late...hopefully i'll have to pee around 11...
