So the people who purchased the VIP packages won't have this same access? I know TEO and Crazy (and Slappy?) got the VIP, so if they don't purchase the bundle, they'll get all the Forecastle VIP perks and get to use Roll Call entrances (I assume they're in Roll CAll) but won't be able to get into the actual PIT, they'll just get into the VIP viewing areas?

Just trying to make that distinction so Crazylove doesn't get let out of the PIT. The VIP viewing area is not where she'd want to be for MMJ?

(and i'm sure the bundle upgrades Will Call, you have to be there to get your wrist bands, then distribute them to whoever you want)
but come on...there's nothing sexy about poop. Nothing.  -bbill

Forecastle VIP and Roll Call Soundcheck bundle are not connected in any way.  A person with Forecastle VIP (the $350 option) will not have access to the pit for the MMJ set.  That is my understanding.  Those with Forecastle VIP tix will need to purchase the $40 Roll Call upgrade for any of the listed perks (MMJ pit, soundcheck, poster).  I suppose the only overlap will be 3-day VIP entrance.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

at the risk of asking a stupid question.....

**Packages are non-transferable. The name in the billing information will be the name on the VIP list.

what does this "non-transferrable" mean?   if i buy four packages (one for me, three for my friends), do i have to be there with everyone for us all to get in?
I'm pretty sure it just means the Roll Call member who purchased the packages will need to be present to pick up the wristbands, etc.  I bought 4 with only 2 spoken for, so I'm hoping "non-transferrable" is similar to will-call for tix.  It HAS to be; any other explanation would be illogical.

Yep. That's how every will call I've ever dealt with worked.
We understand it's the '90s.

atrist arena also handles the Clutch ticketing.  And I was just on there the other day to get tickets and I use the same login and password for both and it showed my order history for all my purchases of both MMJ & Clutch. .   I don't get having to re-register.

Anyway,  2 tickets purchased.  Looking forward to see what comes in the mail.

I got the idea that with the roll call package were allowed into the VIP area. Could be wrong though, cause I just realize that the VIP at Forevastle this year isn't a "pit"

I believe you will have to be there with them when you first pick up the passes.
When we went to the La, and SF soundchecks the purchaser had to be present with ID to pick up the spoundcheck pass/passes.

We had to be there between a set time, and everyone entered together. We lined up outside the venues, but if you got there early enough, I'm sure you could've went and had a drink or something after getting your passes. Most people started lining up as soon as they got there though, trying to be up front. These soundchecks were on the small side, I'd say no more than 150 max, so anywhere you stood was close, and there was plenty of room.  Both soundchecks were a blast, and if they're offered at any upcoming show I'm going to, it's a must do for me. well Worth the $,imo, and I'm sure this one is going to be loads of fun, even this early in the am. MMJ and Blood Mary's...... priceless!!

All the details were sent by email about a week or so in advance. I'm sure it'll be similar for this.

JY--that's the idea i got

and ewind--weird that we're allowed some VIP perks but VIPs can't get the RC perks (so if Crazy wanted into the PIT, she'd have to spend the 350$ + the 40$)

My impression was that Roll Call got you a special roll-call only line and access to a Pit, while the VIP upgrade gets you Air Conditioning, Foie Gras, Mountains of Cocaine, 3 hookers and a midget, a eunuch to carry your water, and a balcony seat overlooking the pit.

This special upgrade for soundcheck got you access to the soundcheck plus the poster, but - and this I really hope isn't the case because I can't afford the additional upgrade - is not needed for pit access for the main MMJ performance.

I *think* there was 4 in 2010. Main stage, small electronic stage (super small), small local/regional stage, and the 2nd biggest one. There was a drastic difference between the main stage and all others. If its the same, the big bands on the 2nd stage were lucero and equal caliber. You don't have to miss many big ones

There was talk that the ONLY pit access to the MMJ show is via this upgrade bundle for soundcheck/poster. But I don't know how she knows that. In a heap of caution, I bought for this reason.

HIGH on SOUND

From my reading of it, I was under the impression the Roll Call upgrade was needed to get in the Pit. That's why I bought it. Some clarification on this would be appreciated.

If that's true then I just wasted $40 buying 2 bundles; I could have used my own Roll Call card and my hubs could have used the one I purchased.

Why are these details so free of details?????
