Uh oh.

Awwww yeah. Ticket BAWT!

Was talking about the shindig last night with Dan over some drinks and after about a half hour of conversation we realized we didnt even talk the actual shows yet, just going back to Louisville and seeing everyone. This is going to be a 4 day blast of stupifyingly epic proportions.
Say friend, you got any more of that good sasparilla?

Just booked a room at the Galt (unbeknownst to Bob). How can we possibly miss this, even if we are a bit elderly for the festival scene? And Penny, this had nothing at all to do with your txt messages  ;D ;D ;D. I guess I gotta get tix now?

What's our definition of old here?  We were all in the MSG pit for nearly 4 hours, probably better endurance than some of these young whippersnappers.

Just to be safe, be sure to stay limber...

...and pace yourself.

Northern Neighbour

That's awesome that you're going to Louisville, Johnny.  It should be a great time.

Unfortunately, Carol and I won't be able to make it.  Just too much going on at that time.  Hope (and I know) everyone will have a blast.

Ok Senior Members, let's not get all worked up here.

When I say elderly, probably what I really mean is "high maintenance" and when I say We, what I really mean is "me."  The Hangout was great last year, but I must say my panic disorder kicked in a few times with the crowd, just getting from one place to another.  And then there was the heat....that nearly knocked me out after the Portugal the Man set (or was it the frozen daiquiris and mistys??) hmmmmm....

So anyway -- I get the sense that this fest may be smaller? more manageable?

Great news Trish!!

I'm not a big fan of fests anymore either, but no way I can pass this one up. I think all of us seasoned vets will have a blast!

L'Ville was tons of fun for the Yum show, and I can only imagine how great it's going to be for this.

Be prepared for heat. Camelback's might be good; comfortable shoes and gold bond powder are a must! It shouldn't be as hot as being on the beach though. Grass doesn't hold the heat like sand does. By the end of it, we'll all look like Ruckus does in this picture. Staying in the zone helps keep my mind off the heat too. Start training early, don't sit inside all summer.  The main thing is be prepared to sweat and not look cute. I know some people look cute even sweat drenched and dusty, but I'm not one of them.  As far as smaller than Hangout Fest, I don't know how many people they had there last year, but from everything I've seen, this festival is hoping to attract 40,000. That's not all that small. It's about 1/2 a bonnaroo. At least we don't have to camp...
