Sweet Nothing

There have been quite a few scammers ripping people off on Expresso Beans and Gig Posters and one of them seems to be trying to sell his MMJ posters that he says he doesn't have the room to hang them.

This Expresso Beans members name is currently grievousangel138 and they have been contacting numerous people on that site and i was lucky enough to warn one person that had already sent him money.  They were able to put a freeze on the payment that they had sent to him and were very thankful.  I know that he has contacted another forum member from here and i was able to let that member know the scam as well.

So just be on the look out for this person if they contact you mentioning that they.........

Hello,
I have this print in like new condition and have decided to sell it b/c I just don't have anywhere to hang it. I see that you are looking for one so I thought I would contact you and a couple of other interested collectors before I listed it on the forum. It's in like new condition signed A/P edition. The last two listed sold for $350 (framed) and $265. Tell me what you think is fair and we go from there.

I also have about 2/3 of my collection listed and would be willing to get rid of plenty of other things too in case you wanted to do a cash + trade. So, feel free to check out my collection (not trades b/c that list doesn't have as much on it) and let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Tom

This person's real name is Tom Minarchick and their paypal account is..... tminarchick@att.net

I hope that this is helpful to you all and just be careful about this scammer as he has no remorse whats so ever.  He apparently has made this a job for himself scamming people from as far back as 2007.  There is some other information about him on Gig Posters if any one cares to know anything more about his history.

Thanks for your time in reading this as i know it was long but felt that the fine people here should know about him.

Thanks,

Sweet Nothing

I had just begun a conversation w/ the guy too.   Whew.   Thanks man!

He just scammed me on a Pearl Jam poster.  I paid him over two weeks ago and haven't heard a thing from him since.  I was hoping he was just being lazy, but this thread confirms that I have no hope of receiving the poster.

I hardly use Paypal, but that is how I paid him.  Any one know if there is any hope of me getting a refund when I dispute the charges (which I will do tonight).

He also emailed me from another address.  I'll get that address and post it here as well.

I believe you can request a chargeback through PayPal...send them all of your correspondence with this shitbag and explain the situation. Include anything else you can find as well, it can't hurt.

Thanks.  I filed a claim.  The resolution is a two part process.  The first part requires a back and forth between the buyer and seller to find out who is at fault/lying/etc.  I find that interesting since he ignores me.  After a few weeks of that, you bring the dispute up to a second level where Paypal makes the decision.

Before I paid, Tom emailed me from grievous.angel.138@gmail.com (name was Amber Marie Minarchick).  So be aware of that if you are poster shopping.  I paid the att.net address mentioned above.

FYI, you don't have to wait two weeks, they want you to try to figure it out on your own, but you can escalate to the next level at any time, based on the info you have you should do it now. If by chance the seller has emptied the bank account tied to his paypal account, you'll be SOL. Good luck.

A simple internetting search reveals Amber Minarchick is the Dean of the 11th & 12th grade at St. Lucie's in Florida.  Perhaps you should call her and ask for your money back.

Maybe we can start a rumor???  ;D

And btw...it's amazing that these people have been scamming people for so long and he gets back in to do it again time after time.

Yea others have mentioned this too as it seems to be a hobby of his and maybe his wife to scam good people out of money.  Read on Gigposters that he also scams others who collect different stuff as well and i am also kinda shocked that he has been able to do this over and over again for many years.  If you can find the info about him on Gigposters you will see what else this guy has said to try and justify his actions.

Really sorry to hear that he got your money APR, i tried to warn as many people as i could on hear and other sites too.  Hope that you were or are able to get your money back.  Please let us know when or if it gets shorted out?

And yes the other info people gave about him is that he was from Florida, so i would believe his wife is from there also.

Thanks for your support and for providing the above links.  I gave the appropriate info (including those links) to Paypal, and they ruled in my favor.  They gave me a full refund.
