With spring just a couple of weeks away I would think we would hear something soon.

I can see a tour kicking off with Forecastle and moving up the east coast to newport folk fest, and then moving through out the country. with all those japanese, austrailian, and european dates though theres no way we'll get anything before forecastle. patrick also said they want to do South America. The way they hooked us up the last 2 years, i won't be surprised if this is in the 2009 vein.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

I'm hoping for some non-festival shows this year and I'm really hoping they do Red Rocks sometime this summer.  Its hard waiting to find out the tour schedule for the rest of the year... I need to plan my life around MMJ dates, don't they know? ;D

Oh man if they play red rocks I better know before I commit to NFF

Yeah, it does look like the first US show will be Beale St, given the New multitudes tour then Japan and Australia.   June is pretty full overseas too so I too am thinking there might not be too much traditional touring.    Love to be proven wrong.

I want 3 nights at the Ryman this year. That is all.

I love the Ryman. It's got great acoustics and you really get that "Mother Church" feeling.

The acoustics are simply the best.

Did you go to the Flaming Lips last summer?

yakeroo

Yes, a show at the Ryman would be great or even the Woods Amphitheatre at Fontanel (Trey Songz please Stay at home). Did anyone go to the Ryman show back in 06?

Going to the Ryman is on my Bucket List of music. I'm hoping the guys play there sometime in June or July. A birthday show (July 19) would be mindblowing.

Please never Vandy Gym again ever. Even basket ball games sound crappy in there. Also, Fontenel is a good venue if the weather is good.

Yeah, so true!  I saw two nights of Wilco there last year and it was fantastic.  Great sound, very intimate, all the stained glass and the amazing history of the music that has transpired on that stage makes for a really great vibe.  The front edge of the balcony is sooo close to the stage, its an incredible spot to be in.  I'd avoid being on the floor under the balcony.  There are only a few rows of seats on the floor that are not under the balcony and the seats are tight down there.  Balcony is the way to go.

Actually I sat under the balcony for Nickel Creek's final show and they are not bad at all. Maybe just a little scary when people start stomping their feet, but you are really close to the stage.  Also, they just put a new stage floor in last week.

Pretty please!! A return to AZ would be nice, but I'll pack up the car again if necessary.
soft and warm all the time make you want it over and over

Surely there will be a Chicago show.  Although, St Louis would be better!!

I know some parts of the country have been ignored, but here is So. Cal we have had 5 shows in less than 18 months. I made four of them. They certianly have done thier due diligence. I would not expect another tour this summer, but hey, they seem like real nice guys, so hopefully I am wrong! :D
