My friend that I took is a locally renowned musician. His assessment of the show was every song was built up like the last song of a show. He said it is like an orgasm in every song, and he thought it was too much. Well, I have been a fan of his for almost 30 years. I agree with his description, disagree with his perception. What he saw as a negative, I think most of us agree is a serious positive.

Touch me Pt 2, into Gideon. Camera ran out of memory.     My Morning Jacket. Touch Me Pt. 2 9-11-12

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Nice to see they decided to ease into their 3 nights in LA!!!      :cheesy:

WOW!

Stevie

Wow!  Wow!  What a setlist!  War Begun, I Will Sing, and Strangulation in the same set, not to mention the others..

ANDDD, they got Circuital, It Beats, Freak Out, I'm Amazed, Anytime, and TMP2 out of the way.  That doesn't leave a whole lot in the way of their other mainstays for the other two nights, so the possibilities are endless.

e_wind

with the exception of I'm Amazed, Lowdown all the way to Anytime is amazing.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Northern Neighbour

Pretty awesome setlist.

I think he might be just a wee bit jealous of their prowess.

WOW
they are really SO good to us!

Not sure what to say, blown away.  Maybe i'll write more later.
Love the few new jams and transitions, esp. after Touch Me 2, and the lighting was different and I was digging it.

A variety of subjective factors but I was deep into this one! Intensity never let up , so in the groove. Every song/performance was a highlight taaken to another level of mind blowing brilliance. Insane fucking show and only night 1.

Yeah, best yet for me as well.  Hard to make a definite call with it being so fresh, there's still the night after 'glow' - turned up to 11, because we get two more nights.  And MSG NYE will always have a special spot for me, as it was my 40th birthday and I was with my closest friends.  But my other shows were either outside or at MSG (up in the seats), so seeing them in this small venue is just outstanding.

I was on the second level 'rail'. Was one of the first in and had a wristband, but thought I'd try the eye level view last night.  Think I am heading into the scrum tonight, we'll see...

The PWW close, similar to the Red Rocks which I thought was the best version I ever heard, was amazing.  Can't wait to see what they have in store tonight.  Tyrone, please.

He was playing the same local circuit 25 years ago as Toad the Wet Sprocket. I saw them in a bar right after they made it big. He was there also and seemed perplexed why they were so successful. I think it was the same thing. But he is one hell of a nice guy anyway.

Yes that was me  but I think I'm going to be near where you guys were.  That stage is high so it's a little harder to be that close.  Plus I'm bringing a friend who hasn't seen them and not sure she'd be up for the pit.  See you in line!

Glad it was so good after the hassle at will call.   Hope that gets worked out today!  Thanks for getting my ticket.
