The posters for 2012 have been top notch.  So many outstanding ones.

I can't get over those LA posters. I really wish they were the Cap posters.


I think that after 2012 is over, all my posters will be coming down other than RR2011 to be switched with RR12x2, PC, and Boston (assuming those are good ones). I always take into consideration the event itself, along with the art work, when hanging posters.

and i love those la posters as well...the first one has an airbrushed feel to it and i love that...not that i wear airbrushed shirts...

and i am pretty sure the sales at the hangout festival go as follows

1. beer/alcohol purchases
2. air brushed t-shirts either professing their undying love for his/her significant other or a rebel flag...usually both though

Totally agree it's played out.  Reno has beaten it to death.

I was trying to find a positive in a poster set which really does nothing for me.  It's there, and it's subtle, that's the best I could do.

Totally agree that the eye is played out, beaten down, tired, and so uninspired.

I like the ones that have a tie in to the area/venue/season or even an event like The Yum show or NYE. Trying to capture the feeling of the music is great too, just tie it in with the groove, not the most obvious symbol associated with it.

I'm right there with ya. Think I'll probably retire it should I get the chance to do any more in the future.
