Dammit. I had GA tickets for this. Talked myself out of it because of work, school, cost of the trip. Now I'm kicking myself. If this is night one, I dont want to see the next two.

the producers on the show i work for gave everyone on the crew a set of terrific head phones for chistmas.  tonight i was listening to this show on my ipod walking home after dark and i composed this thank you note to them:

"listening to a recording of a concert i'd attended on these headphones while walking down the street under the cover of mostly darkness i danced as i would have at the show: with enthusiasm and disregard for the uninitiated.  thank you for helping keep me from any pretense of cool. :)  "

and this was BEFORE the Prince cover. 

i'm continuing listening to this show now that i'm home.  as "makes no difference" starts i remember two things:  chief okonoko coming over to sing and dance with me & a girl next to me telling me, "this is the song i was hoping to hear!".  the three of us sang it at full-lung capacity.  fucking awesome
