Dondante   Oh, this one is so tough, I don't know.  War Begun is such a well written and emotional song and live its just so sweetly soulful.  Not crazy about the studio version.  But Dondante is such a warhorse, so epic and so deeply emotional to the band, I just can't vote against it.  Dondante it is.

I just want to say that Dondante should win. It's genius. In fact, should it come down to Steam Engine and Dondante - which are the two most genius songs in the catalog - Dondante trumps Steam.  But I voted for War Begun because the beauty of it live that we've had recently is so much fresher than Dondante. I hate to be prejudiced because I've heard one of them live more than the other, but right now that's how I feel. In sixth months it could be different.

Not a huge Dondante fan here. I believe Steam should and will win it all. Dondante vs. Steam would be just about the most epic ending to this possible, though.

Can't believe Dancefloors was against Come Closer.  That's like choosing between pizza and blueberries.   Both great but so different!    Dancefloors is a blast live but I've just always loved Come Closer.

As far as Steam Engine vs Dondante is concerned, Dondante is a truly emotional epic masterpiece, but it lacks in the build-up department.  In other words, Dondante builds up to the climax at about 3:30 and then the rest of the song is the falling action (great falling action, but it isn't building towards anything for the rest of the song).  Steam Engine builds beautifully, both lyrically and musically, to about 3/4 the way into the song and then has the climax and fall.  More build up is always great! Hope that makes some sense.  Regardless, Dondante and Steam Engine are two of the best songs in MMJ's archive.

Easiest round for me in the bracket.  #3 was a coin toss too, but not too broken up over any of the losers.  Now if TMIGS II vs PWW or OBH, then I would have an issue.
