Speaking as one of what appears to be only a couple people who didn't vote Strangulation, here's my explanation.  Z was my introduction to the band, and the songs off that album (off the record) will always hold a special place in my heart.  I like Strangulation, not just a little, a lot, but for me it's not Steam Engine, or PWW, or War Begun, or a multitude of other songs, all of which I would have voted for over Off The Record (and certainly Dondonte too).  Anyway, we all have our favorites, for various reasons, and I actually like Off The Record better than Strangulation.

There is something about They Ran, it was one of the first songs from their debut that grabbed me.  Twilight is good too and this one was a tough decision, but They Ran edges it out on my end. 

Strangulation has just so much more emotion and depth to it imo.  Off the Record is great; it just isn't one the same level of Strangulation.  I understand Z being your intro record and Off the Record having a deeper meaning to you in that way.  Strangulation live is much better than Off the Record.
