Good luck to everyone in her path. Looks like everyone on the coast from N.C - Maine could be feeling her wrath, as well as inland states getting pounded with lots of rain, and possible heavy snow.

I hope everyone here is spared any major trouble, and this storm doesn't turn out to be nearly as dire as predicted.

Be safe, and well everyone.

Totally get that having raised two myself, but I'll tell you what, if that's the worst thing that happens from this storm, tell your kids I'll send a couple of big bags of candy their way.

That's a trade I'd gladly take at this point.

I have a 5yo and 9yo (the older will be a Zombie Scientist and the little will be a Zombie Hunter) and if we can't go out for Halloween due to high winds and rain (Southern Ontario is projected to get significant rain and up to 80km/h winds due to the sheer width of this system) I'm just going to let them eat all of our candy and have a dance party with their friends. If the power is on!

We are heading out today to stock up in case of power outages.

I just want to send out good thoughts to all the peeps on the east coast as then prep for the storm.  Be safe folks!
Babe, let's get one thing clear, there's much more stardust when you're near.

Thanks Beth.

Seems like something about this type of thing that really gets the blood flowing!  heading out now to a local " FU Sandy" party, and hopefully we here on LBI will get lucky.

Eric, totally thinking of you! Did you evacuate yet?  I have had enough, and the storm hasn't even started yet. The sense of panic is palpable around here.  Some of the people in our town have hired moving trucks and removed all of their furniture....we got slammed with Irene last year, so no one is taking chances.
We have a generator, 2 sump pumps, french drains etc. etc.  Just hoping that the big old trees around here don't fall on our houses  :embarrassed:
Be well everyone!

All schools closed up here in NH, and I know we won't be getting anything as serious as many of you.  Take care and be safe.  I hope no one raked their yard recently...
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Be safe everyone.   Better to over prepare.   Don't take any chances!
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

I read and liked the following: Better to be overprepared and underwhelmed than underprepared and overwhelmed. <--- I'm following this plan.

Sounds like a shitstorm is erupting in AC though with this whole evac debacle.
