"My Morning Jacket have done an amazing job of putting together one of the best festivals in the country, with a plan to continue the tradition in 2013."

Please be true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!     :bath:

Excuse the excitement, but this would make my whole year.  I really want to relive Forcastle 2012.  It was one of the best things I have ever experienced.

Edit: I am assuming this means that if MMJ are to curate this festival again, that they would also headline as well.

Hmmmmm, perhaps a roadtrip to KY is in order?
Babe, let's get one thing clear, there's much more stardust when you're near.

I was just thinking the other day about what the future holds for Forecastle and MMJ. I was thinking how awesome it'd be to have MMJ headline Saturday every year. MMJ fans proved last year that they will travel great distances to see an "MMJ fest" and I would LOVE to see Forecastle 2013 become the second annual MMJ FEST. Count me in if this goes down!

I'm all in if they can just move it so it doesn't fall on July 13 (my wife's birthday) and July 14 (my youngest daughter's birthday).  I've missed their birthdays on the road for MMJ two years in a row!
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Yeah, looks like July 12-14, 2013.  Maybe I'll just take them along...

Fully

After reading that article, I think that someone was just writing a blurb. It doesn't sound like this person has much knowledge about it at all. Don't get your hopes up based on this. Although I would love to do it again.

You're definitely right. However I could totally see Forecastle being turned into an MMJ fest. Last year proved that it was viable, just fill out a solid lineup supporting MMJ, and people will come!

Fully

I certainly would not be opposed to it. Although this time I probably wouldn't get the three day pass unless there was a stronger lineup.

I'll probably be bringing my 16 year daughter and her friend, My partying will be held to a minimum then, hopefully Bassnecter is gonna take a pass this year and I won't have to creep on her if she's in the pit with a bunch of zit faced prepubescent glow stick chewing turd blossoms. Lord save me !!!!

Do you guys think MMJ showing up 2 years in a row is even probable?

I believe standard practice for festivals is to not have the same bands in consecutive years.  I'm okay with bending the rules once in a while...

There are however lots of festivals that are curated and anchored by the same band every year.   Maybe this could become MMJ's festival.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

I'd be down for MMJ having their own festival. Heck, they certainly deserve it!
