This is going to be my next painting.  I'm basing it off a dream Jim had when he sang at Preservation Hall.  She was the woman whose bullhorn he used, her name is Sweet Emma Barrett.  In his dream, she breathed her soul into his mouth through a hole in the floor, so when he sang thru the bullhorn, he was putting her spirit back in Preservation Hall.  There's something so haunting about her countenance.  So I wanted to paint her looking like an angel somehow.

I prolly need to get a life at some point...or some new influences.  Someday I will.

That's awesome! Keep us posted on your progress...do you use oil pastels, watercolor or something else?

I use all mediums of paint...the last painting I did was oil pastels, and it worked for what I was doing, but this one I'm doing with oil paint.  Something about the fluidity makes it more "ghost-y". (: I'm excited. I haven't worked with it in a while.  It's like riding a bicycle of color.
