I just bought the show on MP3 and Steam Engine and Law Low are both there.

Just try re-downloading. I was able to get the entire show when I DL in MP3 format.  I am really happy they released this show. But I stand by my initial opinion of this show. There are a few good parts but overall not my favorite MMJ show.

I can sort of agree. Aside from the newer covers, there weren't too many suprises. Steam Engine is brilliant. But I take the show for what it was, an absolutely amazing party and the greatest way I could have spent any New Years. Also, I agree with Fully, that encore was out of the world. A true dance party! While it may not be "the greatest" show of theirs ever, I think it was the most fun I have ever had at an MMJ show.
Mona Lisa must'a had the highway blues, you can tell by the way she smiles.

I know I've said this a million times in regards to these Official Bootlegs, but we are SO EFFIN' LUCKY to have these. This whole recording sounds AMAZING, and I will cherish it for the rest of my days. And having the PHJB on some more officially released material is such a blessing. "You Never Can Tell" sounds amazing! The mix just NAILS the perfect balance between the horns, the band and Bo's awesome pianey. Reminds me of how much of a fun party that night was. This show is a VERY FUN listen and I highly recommend everyone download this ASAP.

Dilsnufus got featured again on Hidden Track with his Hungry Heart video with soundboard audio!!

One of the covers My Morning Jacket treated fans to on New Year's Eve on Boston was their take on Hungry Heart by Bruce Springsteen. Jim James and Co. truly did the song justice and then covered it again at their On The Beach benefit concert that was held in Asbury Park on Jan. 2nd.
A killer clip of MMJ's New Year's Eve performance of Hungry Heart, complete with a soundboard soundtrack, has recently surfaced thanks to YouTuber dillsnufus...

Some who have tried have failed, so I'm guessing not.
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! I didn't think anything would cheer me up this week after that Patriots loss but leave it to MMJ to swoop in and save the day.

Am I the only dummy who can't get the ALAC HD files to download on my MacBook?  The Download Manager is instructing me to CTRL+Right Click and select the Download Link to Disc option, but that option isn't available.  I tried to Save the link, but it just downloads as a text file.  Am I missing something?

That run thru video just made my night!   wow.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

why are the port chester shows free with a ticket stub but these aren't? did it cost more to get the recording? cause that can't even be true. just a cash grab...after i already spent 60 on a ticket and another 40 on gas...

SaraBananaBear

Yay! Getting this on Friday for sure!  :cheesy: :cheesy: :cheesy:

You know, as much as I'd like to get this free with my ticket that fell apart b/c it was the one thing Agannis arena made an attempt to police ( certainly not all the creepers who kept pushing us around on the front row), I'm completely fine with paying for it. I'm just happy that they are giving us the show. With record sales what they are in this modern world, bands have to make money any way they can. Plus, there is expense to the band involved in putting these things up. Also, they didn't decide to release this show until after they had dispersed the tickets. They may or may not have the codes somewhere, but it was probably not possible for them to do it. I appreciate the gift of the Red Rocks and Port Chester shows, but that's what they are - gifts. Pearl Jam doesn't offer free downloads to shows that you attend -at least they didn't the last time I went to see them and bought a bootleg from them. It's been at least three or four years.

But my point is that while it has been extremely generous of this band to offer free downloads of something many of us have been begging for years for, they aren't being greedy when they don't. They have bills to pay too, and musicians aren't making insane money like they used to unless they are putting out crap for the masses who don't have good taste.

The wife and I spent $1K on flights and at least that much on hotels, food and drink, rental car, gas, etc., etc., etc.  Should I be pissed too?

Does anyone really expect that when you pay money to attend a concert that you should get the recordings of that show free? I see it as a privilage (gracious gift) rather than a right. In today's music world where artists make very little off album sales and rely almost entirely on ticket sales...they deserve every penny and then some. I'll gladly pay for a quality recording of the show. Thank you MMJ for providing us fans this OPTION!

Edit: maybe I should have read Fully's post before commenting!   yeah...what she said!

Good to know I'm not the only one who feels this way.

cash grab? ha. $63.50 w/ charges for the NYE ticket was about the cheapest NYE show I've ever been to. then $14 or so for a board recording of the show. what did Phish charge for their NYE tickets? have no idea, but I'm guessing it was more than MMJ's show and with Phish you get MP3s which are completely useless in the trading world. all i care about is that they are available and that the recordings are lossless.

as far as cost or bundling it in with ticket prices.........

Oh shit, run!

Problem solved.  I was using Chrome and forgot Java isn't compatible.  Switched to Safari, updated Java, and all is well.
