Ha, Yep that's me.  I'm the short guy from Long Island who was talking to you about the Paramount Theater and other Long Island places.  All of the girls I was hanging with (and a handfull of the guys) were forum members.  Penny Lane, TDBm YWNA, DylanD, Tired Eyes, Brooke, Fiddle Castro,Lil Sis,  etc.  Sorry, my bad, I should have brought up the forum.

No apology necessary. At all. Should have realized the crew that was there early and protective of the spots they secured was the board folks. I have read great stories about the community feeling of making sure all are having a good time and this was no different.

We have not met before....last night was the first time being around (at least that I know of) the board members. I know one or two guys on here but met them first on other forums. Glad I was able to find the board people though. Sad I didn't get all the board names to match faces but there will be more shows coming up where I can do that.

Thanks once again for all you did. Helped make a great show even greater.

I agree. I'll be at the April Jim James show for sure. Not sure what other ones in NY in the near future besides that, Todd Snider, and Cold War Kids in the coming months.

If there are photos of the group that get posted here someone will just have to point out who is who :)

Monkey Trainer, lovely video. It's very clear. Also, the back of HH's head looks just like I remember it. I spent a long night looking at it at Forecastle. No hair thinning there, HH!

New Order recorded it but originally a Joy Division song that was only played live

yep, tom came out an played the six-string last night.  no bass.  there was some SERIOUS flirting going on last night between Jim and Liz/Laura/Penny/Trish/Brooke.   Jim actually had his eyes wide open for most of the night and didn't stop moving around on an otherwise tiny stage.  Sound was excellent and the night was super fun.  Jim definitely made no noises on the sax the first time he took it out but he did play the 2nd time around.

His backing band was solid but no one from mmj is in danger of losing their jobs.  A really good, fun night.  I especially enjoyed the encore when he played mmj tunes but I thought several of the new songs played out exceptionally well live and better than on the album.

too tired today for a full write up.  good to see so many familiar faces.
Jim's crotch was in my face the whole night--what was a girl to do?  So happy I was able to swing this in the end.  SO great seeing you and the rest of our gang again.

yep, that was the dude.  at first he pushed his way front center and said I'm here b/c I'm a photographer.  I said so I guess you will be leaving after 1 or 2 songs.  He said, no I'm here for the night.  I said see this guy on your left, and this guy on your right, they are photographer's too and have been here at the rail for 2 hours as have I.  Told him he could stand behind us but not in front of us.

Wait a second....you said all that to him? Are you telling me you're the other Long Island dude I was chatting with most of the night? I'm the guy from Islip who was there taking a few videos. How did I not realize this?

Mind blown.  I should have figured it out when you talked about you and your group attending hundreds of Jacket shows lol. I assumed I missed the MMJ board folks cuz they went to the bar meetup before.

Who else was there? I knew there were a few ladies and gents with you but didn't put the pieces together that they were all board members lol. Maybe I should have looked at past photos before the show to put names to faces.

It was nice to meet you, even without realizing who I was meeting. My name is Sean btw. Your efforts at stopping the "shove-through-everyone" crowd are unmatched and much appreciated.
I haven't really posted much on here since the god awful days of the "new" ground cntrl forum.  I must have been standing right in front of you then next to Jeff.  I had the striped dress on and the one not taking shit from the photog or that creepy Mr. Magoo guy that tried to rush up to the front.  Hope I didn't knock into you too much.

Jeff: the sisters will ALWAYS have your back :gangsta

Gotcha. I think I know who you were. Totally weren't taking any shit from the photog or the dude who needed to be touching the stage lol. It's much appreciated and you didn't knock into me at all. Concerts could use more folks like you guys

Hey Sean, I was near you also - next to LilSis, long dark hair, glasses, tan shirt w/ elbow patches...  You looked familiar, so I think we may have been line neighbors or in the same vicinity at other shows, not knowing we were fellow forum folk.  Here's a pic from before the show, so you can put some names to faces:

L to R: Penny Lane, LilSis, TDB, Headhunter, Tired Eyes and br00ke.

I never mind standing near you, HH. Your enthusiasm during a show and all of the high fives you throw at me are great! I was proud of myself that I could recognize you from the back though.

It was very nice to meet and talk to a bunch of you on Tuesday night at the show.  I had a wonderful time and even got a few of you in the wide angels photos I took.  A bunch of them will wind up on http://www.thewaster.com/ in a day or so.

(and itrainmonkeys sorry for knocking you in the head a few times)

Jeremy! What's up. Pleasure meeting you as well and watching the show. Your photos came out excellent. Really amazing shots you've got there. Very cool.

And you didn't knock into me at all. No problems there. Anytime I looked back it was to make sure I wasn't blocking somebody trying to get back to a spot haha.

We need a video of Dear One, you guys. Twas epic.
