Can y'all review the following and let me know if I'm crazy on the song writers/performers?

Shakey Ground (Jeffrey Bowen, Al Boyd, Eddie Hazel)  (Temptations/Funkadelic)
Hey Pocky Way (The Meters)
Move On Up (Curtis Mayfield)
Love Train (Kenny Gamble, Leon Huff) (The O'Jays)
Use Me (Bill Withers)
Don't Do It (Richie Rich)
Instant Karma (John Lennon)
1999 (Prince)
When Something Is Wrong With My Baby (Isaac Hayes, David Porter) (Sam and Dave)
Dance To The Music (Sly & The Family Stone)
Hot Fun In The Summertime (Sly & The Family Stone)
Family Affair (Sly & The Family Stone)
Everyday People (Sly & The Family Stone)
Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin) (Sly & The Family Stone)
Change Is Gonna Come (Sam Cooke)
Bring It On Home To Me (Sam Cooke)
Bang A Gong (Mark Bolan) (T. Rex)
(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction (Mick Jagger, Keith Richards)
Take Me Higher (Sally Jo Dakota, Nikita Germaine, Narada Michael Walden) (Diana Ross)

Hey BH, the only thing that looks wrong on here is the last song.  It was "I Want to Take You Higher" by Sly and the Family Stone, not "Take Me Higher" as you have here.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

I think he may have based his list off the picture of the setlist from the previous page of this thread... You're right about the title, Jon.

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Non Sin Breaux

What an amazing personal accomplishment for Jim!

He's so young to have organized this together, perform, while in the middle of a tour.

Im 2 years younger than him and I haven't even vacuumed my room in over a month.

Isn't "Don't Do It" a Marvin Gaye original?  Obviously most famous from the opening of The Last Waltz but I thought Marvin wrote it?  Either way, they definitely did the Levon version and it's fucking BAD ASS!
As long as my heart's beating, that's all the proof you need....

Nothing to be said other than what has already been said. This was the most fun I've had at a show in a long time. Possibly ever.

I had sky-high expectations, and they were exceeded. This was not a Superjam. This was a highly-rehearsed, PERFECT collaboration between dozens of supremely talented musicians.  I am thankful to the Roo gods that this was taped and is available for my listening pleasure already.

I am so thankful they played "Love Train". I didn't even know that song, but hearing it brought me such happiness, and also led to the development of some sweet new dance moves I look forward to bringing with me everywhere I go.

Also, the "getting the crowd to keep the beat going during the encore break and coming back on stage before launching back into the same song" was one of the coolest things I've ever been a part of. Fucking loved this entire night!

That makes a lot more sense!    It's "Baby, Don't You Do It!"

One kind of funny tidbit about "Baby, Don't You Do It" is that on Friday on the same stage at Bonnaroo, Glen Hansard covered that song as well in his set.  He introduced it as a Marvin Gaye song made famous by The Band.

I had never heard anyone cover that song ever and then I heard it twice in two days on the same stage.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

O, this is EXACTLY the way I feel about the night with the exception that I'm very familiar with Love Train. I really was thrilled to hear Jim sing Use Me. I've always wanted to hear him sing that.

oistheone

After listening to this recording about fifteen times now, I concur that "Use Me" OWNED! Good LORD Jim funked the shit outta that one.

I also urge everyone who hasn't downloaded this taping already to do so immediately -- one of the best audience tapings I've ever heard! What a magical night this was.

itrainmonkeys

Yea, not only is it an amazing set but the recording quality is outstanding. I'd pay good money for it.
