I got mine! I got a phone call from someone who was freaking out bc he was afraid they would sell out before he got through the cue. We had discussed getting Alabama Shakes tickets the other day and I thought that was what he was freaking out about, so I told him to get me one. I asked him how much and when he said they were around $300 with charges I freaked out thinking he meant the shakes. Then the lightbulb went on. All of this occurred while I was ordering at a restaurant, btw!  :)

This is going to be a wonderful thing! I wonder what types of songs he'll do? Any MMJ perhaps? I was super disappointed with the superjam last year after the rumors of Jack White then camping for a spot in the second row only to have two total artists in the superjam that I've heard of.

I guess everyone has there own experience. I loved the superjam last year. It was one of the best things about the entire festival. Particularly last year when the lineup was so weak.

Got my tickets Saturday. See you guys on the farm

Just bought a pair for me and the wife. So excited for this one. Great lineup, maybe best ever.

i usually play it fast and loose at festivals (natch!) but i'll head over to this tent a little early.  i don't mind being in the crowd a bit, but hate to be completely out of the vibe of the show for these superjams.

you early peeps might not recognize the chill non-rail stylings of ms. y. come festival time.

Could this be the impetus that gets me to buy an Airstream to pull with the pickup I don't own yet and finally make it to Bonnaroo? Could be, could be.
YES.

or you could go in on an on-site RV rental with some pals... ( )

Anyone notice they changed the lineup to read "Rock N' Soul Dance Party Superjam"????????? Isn't that new????????

                                                                                :bath:

It is! I read an article about the change, but there wasn't much information. It has everyone speculating about what it means. So far the general consensus is that it means it's going to be awesome!

A boy  with a mouth as pretty as yours in silk and feathers. I'll have to find something awesome for the night too. Might be a good night for a yeti suit for me ;)

Ah yeah Bonnaroo superjams are what dreams are made of. Seriously the only one that disappointed me was 2008 when I heard rumors of Tom Waits making an appearance. Yes I will admit, I was going to miss an MMJ super set to see Mr. Waits. What can I say I love that guy. Luckily I quickly discovered it was just cover songs so I trekked through the torrential downpour to catch MMJ. Shew glad I did!
This years superjam will be worth the price of admissions alone! I can not wait to see what Jim, John, and whoever else joins have in store late night as no conflict in the schedule will cause me to miss this one!

Looks like there's gonna be a good number of us at this show -- and what a show it will be!

Just under 12 weeks 'till we're all on the farm! Not that I'm counting or anything.

These D'Angelo videos from last year are just getting me more and more juiced for Jim's Jam this year.

I'm just about ready for some pre-show press to come out. Though I guess it'll be another month or so before we get any hints dropped in regards to material. I'm expecting a lot of the covers MMJ already plays -- "All Night Long" and "Move On Up" seem like locks -- but I'm hoping for some actual free-flow jammin'!

100% SPECULATION -- but am I alone in thinkin' Questlove is making the trip to the farm this year as an unannounced guest at the SuperJam? He's essentially the SuperJam God, so I imagine he's got an open invite. And with JJ and the Roots playing together only three days later, maybe they'll do a little warmin' up on the farm? I can only hope!

itrainmonkeys

I don't think Questlove will be coming down for this year's Superjam. They have announced the main drummer for the set would be Zigaboo Modeliste, so I don't see Questlove making the trip down....as awesome as that would be.

Since "That is all", I'm going to assume that he's going to be part of it?
