Savages - Silence Yourself

Out of nowhere...killing your face!!!

Just amazing

It's quite good, isn't it?  Pretty sure it'll be in my top ten this year, and it's been a very good year.
The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

Thanks to crispy, ruckus, and fully, I have to add Wolf People - Fain to the list. This band is insane. And great. I wish I would've been less lazy on Sunday and gone to Bloomington to check them out.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Put Ruckus at the top of that list. And you were just being lazy?! Okay then, I will taunt you with the knowledge that you missed seeing one hell of an amazing group and meeting some extremely nice guys. Sunday night shows are tough to do though, I understand.

I wish I had made it to see Gary Clark, Jr. Two days after I got back from the Wolf People trip. Unfortunately, I had too good a time at Wolf People to have the energy to see Jr. I may be getting old.

dmooney99

Arcde Fire- Reflektor
White Denim- Corsicana Lemonade

Ob1jacobe

This is my current to 10 list.  Tough year to make a list, so much good stuff.
  1. The National - Trouble Will Find Me
  2. Phosphorescent - Muchacho
  3. Arctic Monkeys - AM
  4. Vampire Weekend - Modern Vampires Of The City
  5. Frightened Rabbit - Pedestrian Verse
  6. Kurt Vile - Walkin On A Pretty Daze
  7. Local Natives - Hummingbird
  8. Jason Isbell - Southeastern
  9. Queens of the Stone Age - ... Like Clockwork
  10. Volcano Choir - Repave

I am feeling pretty good about this.  I am listening to Okkervil River and White Denim a lot but don't think they will make the top 10.  Also finally checked out The Besnard Lakes and really liking them.  Finally, The Arcade Fire Album could have made it if they had edited it down.  Songs and album are just too long.

Murph

Most of my favorites were already listed plenty of times, but a few I love that haven't been mentioned too many times or at all are:

Thee Oh Sees
Deerhunter
Charles Bradley
Rhye
Houndmouth
Action Bronson
Pusha T

wheelhousetunes

1. Son Volt "Honky Tonk"
2. Richard Buckner "Surrounded"
3. Pearl Jam "Lightning Bolt"
4. Alice In Chains "Devil Put Dinosaurs Here"

May think of more later....

Holy shit, Trouble Will Find Me from The National is awesome.  I can't believe it took me so long to come around to these guys.  Great stuff.
