definetly played a dancing/rocking set for the occasion. cool set really played to their audience.

I think it was a perfect set for the event. I really wanted The Bear, and Dondonte to blow em away. If they played country stuff it would have upstaged the headliner, based on the first 5 Zac Brown songs.

pointer finger high five or "high one" should be the new forum secret handshake

way too much fingering going on tonight..frat boys carry germs, ya know!
You're just jealous, admit it!!!

Very much enjoyed the livestream - really great sound and video.  Ms GO4IT and I were rocking out in my computer room with nice sound system.

It wasn't a hard-core's ideal set but it was appropriate for this audience, I enjoyed it very much, and who can complain about a show with Black Metal!!!

Murph

I couldn't watch the whole show, could someone tell me what songs were played after Wordless Chorus?

I hooked up the laptop to the flat screen and ran aux to the surround sound and the whole beer family enjoyed the show.     My girls really enjoyed watching Patrick rock out on the drums with his long hair...  :drum:

Great show for the event IMO. Cant complain at all when i get to see my favorite band for FREE. I feel like they rocked pretty hard because they hadnt played together in a while. Did anyone hear the Dondante jam tease or was I hearing things?

rincon2

I was sure Off The Record was Dondante, until the big riff.

Even tho it was a shorter set than normal and a festival show with a standard setlist, the boys still brought the energy and had to have made a lot of new fans tonight.  Even their standard shows will blow away the best of most bands out there. Not many other live acts in their league.

Glad I got to see it.

was some shakin' and some record playin'

I enjoyed it very much too, and it has me wanting more shows ASAP, but not with you on HOTBM.  The only time I won't complain about getting that one is when there are horns on stage, and some backup singers too. Not a fan of that stuff being sampled in at a live show at all.

My preferred adjective to sum up that set is "triumphant."
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

I enjoyed seeing the band again and I cant complain with a free show, but uggh these festival setlists. When will I hear my "War Begun" "I Will Sing You Songs" "They Ran" or "Knot Comes Loose"?? I told Yakeroo the only solution is to take a trip to Red Rocks.

As for the show, there was a lot of energy, but Jim's vocals seemed really low to me. The audio guys just couldn't find the right balance; however the bass was excellent. I completed the trivia and hope to win the signed guitar. The questions they asked the two frat guys were far too easy. I would've taken that one 3-0.

I also stayed for Zac Brown. He put on an excellent show. Played "Devil Went Down To Georgia" and "Enter Sandman"   A lot of hate for no reason. It was Zac Brown Band not Jason Aldean...big difference!

Drove 6 hours to the show and 6 hours home. Totally worth it.

Worst crowd EVER though
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Fully

There was the most awesome kid who waited with us and hung Putin the rail with us. He was 14 and has already seen 40 shows. He had even made it to Pearl Jam's rail. Along with him was his friend who was going to his first show ever. It was like meeting a young Whippy or Penny Lane.

As far as the show, it was a standard setlist, but the band played well even amid frustrations with the mix and Jim's mic stand. I would enjoy seeing a rip of the live stream did anyone capture that?

Also, I hope manonthemoon made his plane. We had a great group to hang out with, and met several new people. The crowd was interesting to say the least. Very dedicated Zac Brown fans.

That was awesome, made the decision about 11am Friday and made the 4.5 hour drive down to Atlanta for the show from North Alabama. Ended up on the rail right in front of Carl. The crowd was so-so, a lot of people were just there to be there. I stayed in the same spot for ZBB, I was not that impressed (i'm not a big country fan) and i thought MMJ put on a much higher energy and headliner worthy show.

Excited for Muse tonight, hope to grab the same spot.. but it'll be difficult. They are only playing an hour for some reason.

Oh,. my dad captured the audio of the stream (minus a bit of the opening song) and I'll try and post it when i get back Sunday or Monday.

Agree on all points (and still laughing about Jim's finger points) - I'm guessing $ from NCAA was too good to turn down - and it was a shrewd decision to play as an opener to this audience.  They pushed greatest hits out to big, young audience, blew away the headliner, and gave the faithful a little spring time nugget to keep us going in an otherwise quiet year (but wait for Fall!!!)

Also agree on Jim's mic - he looked pissed off and couldn't get them to bring him up in he mix.

What's in here won't disappear

It Still Moves is their first album, I guess?
