I think I am just going to go for lawn at Noblesville, even though I am tempted to do the GA pit.  :undecided:  My brother and his girlfriend are doing lawn, and this way, if my girlfriend decides to get a ticket at a later date, she can still go to the show with me.  My brother is the one who introduced MMJ to me in the first place, so it should be loads of fun going with him.

Grab a pit if you can. You can always go back, and forth, and hang on the lawn for a bit after MMJ if you want, but you'll be bummin if you're on the lawn for them knowing you could've been up front,IMO.

That is why I am still undecided.

you gotta do the pit, man. your GF will understand and if she goes, will be fine with your brother and his woman, if she isn't cool with this you don't need to keep her around...i'm dead serious, you seem to be a pretty big fan judging by your enthusiasm in such a short time and trust me...if she isn't cool with it then it will become an issue and you will have to decide between the two of them...hopefully she is pretty cool and realizes how much you like them and it wont bother her to let you get your face melted and not stand by you for a few hours...or you could always wait and see if another pit ticket comes available and get one for her in the pit with you...i remember when I was a young whipper-snapper like yourself in the jacket world...you're in for a wild ride if you stick around

^^^This.  My husband is a fan, but he knows when the Jacket come to town and we don't have a sitter...he's on the lawn with the baby and I'm up front.   :drum:

Haha, perhaps you're all right.  And yeah she is super cool and gets my obsession, she's one to keep around!

Also, someone mentioned there is no early Roll Call entry.  I'm assuming this has been confirmed?

Look at the bottom of the email that had your code in it.

It looks like I didn't scroll down far enough.  I suppose is makes sense to avoid early entry problems for this tour.
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

Also since it isn't MMJ's tour and it looks like they are the low man on the lineup, they can't get us early entry.  It's to be expected.

I may have my head up my butt, but did y'all know deadline to renew/join roll call was yesterday? I tried to renew a few minutes ago. But was told that deadline was yesterday.

Sucks, now I can't access early tickets.

Just got my lawn seats for West Palm Beach and Tampa.
Considering that I certainly was not expecting to see them this year...I'm very happy about the fact that not only am I getting to see them, but I'm getting to see them in Florida.

We got 4 GA Pit tickets for Chicago!!!!!!

I never need much of an excuse to fly back to my home city, but this is perfect. I think we're going to the Peoria shows as well... Serious MMJ dedication because Peoria is a god awful place.

Anyone else on here planning on hitting the Peoria show? If so, do you know anything about the venue?

I live about fifteen minutes from Peoria and will be at the show.  I have been to the stadium for baseball games a few times over the years.  It is a very nice minor league ballpark, about 10 years old, definitely not a dump.  Seats around 7,000 in the stands, but with GA will obviously hold much more than that on the field.  The park is near downtown, but if you go very far past the park (away from downtown) it gets pretty rough in a hurry.

My 9 year old sang the anthem down there this week, so I asked them about the concert while I was there.  They said the stage would back up against the center field wall.  The person I spoke with didn't know of a curfew, but I'm guessing it would be 11:00PM.

Due to an already full calendar, Peoria is the show I am making.

Marino13, is the Embassy Suites the best bet for a hotel for this show?

Not sure exactly how that could be, but knowing GC, I guess anything is possible.

My membership expires on May 11th, and I haven't received any notification from them about renewal, or even how/where to do it early if I wanted.

Thanks for the info! What worries me most is the sound quality at a field like this. From my Wrigley Field concert experience, it's usually not great. But I am still gonna make the trek out there regardless!

Embassy Suites is really close, right across the river.  Another good option is the Mark Twain hotel downtown.  My buddy is staying there right now and he said they were playing Wilco, Dawes, etc. in the lobby and in the elevator.  It is just a 2-3 minute drive away from the stadium as well.  He said the free breakfast was good and parking is free.

I most likely will be going to this show with a few friends. Just waiting for them to get back to me. I don't think the lawn will sell out, it rarely does there. So we should have a bit of time to decide. Hope to see you there  but it won't be as good as Red Rocks  :embarrassed:.

I like what my good friend John B (new to roll call) said about the MMJ Zac Brown show which would apply here:  He said "it's great that Zac Brown is closing for My Morning Jacket". LOL I thought that was great.  Also the fact that MMJ doesn't mind "opening" so to speak actually speaks volumes about them.  They are there to play their music to their fans and probably expand on their fan base.  But isn't it great the Bob Dylan is closing for MMJ

Could they not have came up with a better name for this festival/tour?

What does it matter what they call it? I'm not going for the awesome name. I'm just going to hear the music.

It's a stupid and uncreative name. Seven syllables is a lot to say in one breath each time you reference the festival. I only care about seeing MMJ (assuming its not a basic setlist), don't care much for Wilco and from what I hear, Bob Dylan shows aren't the best anymore.

They probably had nothing to do with it. Seems to me they're just along for the ride, and not their tour.
