My friend spoke with one of the promoters and was told that the three major bands will all get "full sets" and that Dylan will play last.  Whatever "full" means, it doesn't sound like it will be short.  We'll find out soon.  Looking forward to reading set lists and reports from the Southern shows.

Don't see how that's possible ("full" set) with the curfews. I still think 1hr to 1.5hrs for MMj & Wilco.

To most people an hour is a full set. Makes no sense to me.

Is it wrong that I'd only look foward to seeing MMJ on this tour??   :undecided:

Not at all good sir.  While I love some Dead, love some Wilco, and love some Dylan, I would rather none of them be on the bill.  Give me Jacket or give me death.

Lovely answer! MMJ or nothing!!!

Fully

What some people call a "full set" and what we call a full set are two completely different things.

Lotsa truth in this statement.

For me, Wilco is who is geting me to this concert.  Not a knock agains MMJ at all, they're still my favorite and I presume always will be.  But, I don't care to see them in a supporting role for anyone.  I've only seen Wilco once and I've been dying to see them again.  With them playing with MMJ made it a must see for me.  I'm looking forward to seeing Dylan again, but I seriously doubt I'll stick around for his full set.

True.  Not everyone realizes a full MMJ set is 2.5 hours.  But when they headline fests and get 1.5 - 2.0 hours, that isn't bad at all.

interested to see the sets from wilco and mmj tonight.. I will stick around as I have never seen dylan live and it's kinda a bucket list thing for me. I'm as into wilco as MMJ so this is a must see for me... didn't think I would either band this year so an hour or 1.5 is fine with me.

This is too funny and true. MMJ has spoiled me for life. Now anytime a band plays 2 hrs or less I feel cheated.

Same here, that's why I try and avoid festivals as the sets are at the max 1.5 hours and that just feels too short to me.

Fearless would blow my mind and has been on my wishlist of covers I'd kill to see!

The rest of that setlist would be awesome as well.

Just checked on Peoria again and it is at just 3285 tickets sold.  However, they now have a cheaper option of a $40 ticket (seating bowl only), while the initial $70 ticket was for GA on the field or seating bowl.   Trying desperately to sell more tickets, but why would they do this other option so late in the game if they were going to ultimately cancel?  This gives me hope.

what is the capacity of this venue?

I'm pretty sure they can get around 4,000-5,000 in the seating area alone.  I have no idea how many people can fit on the field (several thousand more), but I was told the stage would be up against the center field wall.  Maybe they move it in further with the low ticket sales?

Here are some photos:

The seating area:

From the seats looking out to the field:

As you can see, 3,000 people will look pretty sparse in that place.

According to an article, the capacity is probably 12,000, but when Dylan and Willie Nelson played some years ago there was a crowd of 4,400.  Still got about 1,000 tickets to go to match that.

This isn't the first time the ballpark has hosted a big-name concert. Dylan and Willie Nelson played a double bill at the stadium in August 2004, drawing 4,400 people and playing in a light, steady rain. Those tickets sold for $45.
Vonachen said a stage will be placed near the center field wall, and fans will be allowed on the field. He said they are expecting an attendance of 12,000.

Peoria is now over 4100 tickets.  I would say it could get to 5K if the weather forecast is good.

Here's my dream Wilco set for this tour:

Misunderstood
Dawned On Me
I'm The Man Who Loves You
Heavy Metal Drummer
Theologians
Hell is Chrome
Impossible Germany
Jesus, Etc.
At Least That's What You Said
Sunken Treasure
Spiders (Jim Collaboration)
Art of Almost

One Sunday Morning
What Light (Dylan Collaboration)
Via Chicago

What do ya'll think? I know it won't happen, but a guy can dream...

Nice setlist, but no "AM" love? How about "Box Full of Letters"? "Hell is Chrome" is so good live!

I would love it if Jeff played more lead. Maybe Nels could sit this song out and Pat could be Leroy per this video. (Not going to happen but like you said, a guy/gal can dream...)

Wilco - Handshake drugs

I know it won't happen but any dream Tweedy set for me includes at least "New Madrid" if not also "Watch Me Fall" or "We've Been Had".  Again, know it won't happen (even though they used to play a couple UT songs when it was still in the Jay Bennett incarnation.).

Those are all great tunes. According to wilcobase.com they played "New Madrid" as recently as 2012-09-16 (Live on Ninth St, Columbia, MO) so there's hope!

I know this will NEVER happen but I'd love to hear Wilco perform this UT outtake:

Uncle Tupelo - Wherever

And New Madrid happened in Irvine!!! And it was fantastic, one of the highlights of Wilco's smoking good set.  Nice to meet ya briefly, radiator tunes!
