Spring fire

View from my front yard yesterday. I live in Camarillo where the fire started, but it only threatened one neighborhood and the university, which used to be the most infamous mental hospital in the west, Camarillo State Hospital. I worked there for the whole 80's. Plenty of novels in the back of of my head. Newbury Park on the other side of the hill has many neighborhood majorly threatened, and often in these fires hundreds of homes burn. None have yet, a testament to planning, weed abatement, and clearly highly skilled fire fighters.
