Managed to snag two pit tickets for this show. Wilco, MMJ, and Dylan from the pit? Stop it. Unreal.

In other news, I find it interesting and awesome that MMJ stands for not only My Morning Jacket but also Medical Marijuana. Puff on that!

See you all in the Pit!  Can't wait...saw JJ at Ogden, it was fantastic.  Counting days to July 31.

My Wife and I are going with Wilco fans and sitting in the disabled section, which is pretty close to the front.

I see on the Live Nation site you can still buy GA pit tickets. This show will be half full while Red Rocks sits empty that night. What were they thinking?

Is Ryan Bingham worth seeing?

As excited as i am for the opportunity to see Jacket tomorrow, I really don't think this show and/or tour was very well planned. To think the first performer is scheduled to start at 5pm in the middle of the week is ridiculous. Even to get into the show by 5:45 for mmj is not very reasonable. On top of it all, to get in and around the Tech center where this venue is located during rush hour is completely nuts. I anticipate a lot of well intended fans getting sour due to the effort needed to be in the show in a timely manner.

In the end, I CAN"T FREAKIN" WAIT!!!!!!!!!! Getting ancy!!!!

@cc baxter where did you get those revised show times? that's redic early

Traveling to this show solo so if any forum folks are pre-gaming at or near the venue I would be stoked to meet up and tie a couple on... just picked up a pit ticket off livenation a couple days ago so I am stoked!

It was posted by the promoter and MMJ on FB. I also got an email from KGNU radio as I received my tickets for this show through a pledge to the station.

We live in Golden and plan on leaving the house by 4:30. Would love to meet up with any forum folks as well. Hoping the traffic into the Tech center isn't too bad. I'm open to sharing beers inside or outside the show. Wish we were in the pit, but our tix are in sec 200. If someone wants to stub my wife and I down to the pit for mmj, we won't complain

Thanks for the info CC Baxter, appreciate it. Does anyone know what the parking situation is there? I work at the next light rail stop over and don't want to pay for parking if it is not necessary.   I'm down to have a few drinks pre show ill be ready to go at 430pm :drum:

Rizzos Girl

Me an Rizzo will be there but won't be rolling up until 4 ish. We have a set of pit tix and reserved so I'm doing my best not to stress about being on the rail. I've got no energy for getting mobbed up front like we did at the show in St Paul.  Not sure how much pregame time we'll have but we will sure keep an eye out for forum folks.

Don't quote me, but I'm pretty sure you have to pay for parking. If you take the light rail to the Arapahoe at Village Center Station, it is less than a 10 min walk to the amphiteater. I'm very much considering the light rail myself.

Really glad I checked this thread before heading out this afternoon. Definitely taking light rail. Wasn't sure at first because we wanted to bring beers, etc. but we'll tote them in a disposable plastic bag so we can still pre-party and not worry about the bag policy (no backpacks, large bags, etc.). Problem solved!  Yeah, the set times are really stupid and inconsiderate. I got to work at 7 AM so I can head out early to make it to the amphitheater in time for MMJ - I've already kissed Bingham goodbye....

Also, just FYI the parking policy per TM/Fiddler's Green:
Parking
There is public and private parking in close proximity to the venue.

VIP Parking is available on the checkout page. VIP Parking is located adjacent to Comfort Dental Amphitheatre to the North of the venue.

Directions to VIP Parking:
Take I25 exit at Orchard. Go West to the first light, Greenwood Plaza Boulevard. Turn South (left) and proceed about 1 mile to the Amphitheatre. Follow signs for VIP Parking to the North of the venue.

Please, Love, Jacket!!!!! See y'all tonight in the PIT PIT PIT!! :drum:

I'll be wearing a Mother Hips tshirt with "California Soul" and a california state flag on the back. See ya in the pit!

Pretty sure the Fiddler's parking lot is free. Part of the ticket. Everyone have fun in the pit. I'll be in a reddish shirt in the disabled section by the soundboard, which is pretty decent actually.

Is there early entry for club members? A friend seeing MMJ for the first time bought a pit ticket and I wondered if she would have to wait.

finagler

Awesome about free parking! I don't think there is early entry for Roll Call members since the festival is Dylan-centric. I think I remember that messaging being built in to the initial festival announcements and ticket sales.

I'm a girl and naturally don't know what I'll be wearing just yet, but I'm leaning towards my trusty green bear MMJ t-shirt that I snagged at their two night Red Rocks performance last summer: http://screencast.com/t/Z2TyQjufK

With a 5:50 start, quite a bit of the crowd had not arrived, and Jim said "good morning". Fiddler's Green and the curfew is ridiculous. Jim later said "We should do this every year" and about 100 different people shouted back "Yeah--At Red Rocks!!".

We sat right behind the soundboard and the set list was posted, so I copied it during the first song. (I would have copied Wilco's but they used a smaller font- sorry). Very bummed however, that MMJ had to cut the last song on the list, Gideon.

Overall, a decent show, but decidedly more mellow compared to the epic Red Rocks experiences of the past two summers. In fact I would say the only true face-melter of the set was Baby Don't You Do It, which had a monster jam at the end. All the other songs were great, but probably aimed a little more at the Dylan people? I thought Wilco was also lower key, especially compared to the Bonnaroo webcast earlier in the summer. Again, a different audience. They got the lawn people up with the joint MMJ rendition of Cinnamon Girl. Patrick stayed out there the rest of Wilco's set, next to the drummer, finding stuff to bang on, We left before Dylan. We saw him last October and I will not repeat that experience.
