I suspect it will be watered down and similar to the setlist they played at the Final Four gig in Atlanta.  Lots of their "hits".  However, I hope I am wrong and that we get at least one deep cut jam.

I'm just curious how they plan on fitting everyone in?  I know Wilco can play 3 hour/27 songlists themselves so how this all will work out logistically remains a mystery to me.  Hope they all can pull it off.  Just pumped Bobby Weir was added to the bill here in Tampa!
As long as my heart's beating, that's all the proof you need....

I'm hoping for an hr and a half set with a couple Americanaish like deep cuts.  Not sure what we're gonna get.

I didn't expect to see wither band this year so I'm just glad to be seeing them for hopefully 1.5 hours at the least. They both bring it regardless.

As long as I get a couple rarities tossed in from each band, I'll walk away satisfied.  Or if I hear Steam Engine.  Any day I see Steam Engine live, is a good day.

MMJCOBRA

Just hoping for a couple of deep cuts and for them to mix it up.  Especially for folks like me who dropped a ton of cash to attend two separate shows.

Really, MMJ could play several different versions of a 1,5 hr "hits" show and not have too many repeats.

Here's a couple quick lists from MMJ and Wilco that I would love to see:

MMJ Set:

Steam Engine (Port Chester Intro)

The Way That He Sings
O Is the One That Is Real
I Think I'm Going To Hell
Strangulation
Smokin' From Shootin'

Butch Cassidy (Jim Solo)
Bermuda Highway (Jim Solo)
What Light (W/ Jeff Tweedy)
Dancefloors

-------------------------

Wilco Set:

Theologians
Hell is Chrome
Misunderstood
Heavy Metal Drummer
Jesus, Etc.
Ashes of American Flags
One Sunday Morning
Impossible Germany
At Least That's What You Said

Art of Almost
Spiders

Dawned on Me
Airline to Heaven
Wonderful (w/ Jim)
Via Chicago

----------------------------------

Based on 4 bands per show, time between sets, and curfews at a lot of the venues I wouldn't be suprised to see the main headliner getting 1.5 hours max and probably 1 hour 15 minute sets for the other two and probably a .5 for the opener.  Just not enough time for longer sets given the set up.

As far as content I would expect it to be "hit" driven, but I would hope for a few more older tracks from TTF and AD since this is supposed to be a Folk tour.

1 hour and 15 minute sets really aren't even enough time for MMJ or Wilco to itch their own asses.  I still can't wrap my brain around why they found it necessary to add a 4th band to the lineup...

that seems about the correct length for both bands...

I have a friend that asked Tweedy about Americanarama at a recent Living Room Show and he said that both bands will play a full set (probably means an hour or so) and that members from both bands will join on Dylan throughout his set.

Maybe Ryan Bingham or whoever else will play on a 2nd stage so MMJ or Wilco can get started right around 5:30 or 6pm?   That;s my only hope for getting more than a 1 hr set from each or either of them.

If the sets are only an hour this show will be more or less lame. Hell, jacket has played versions of dondante that lasted almost half of that.

I want to hear Mr. Tambourine Man, or It's All Over Now, Baby Blue

I've been thinking, MMJ has been doing a lot of unique stuff for the fans, and this whole tour itself is a pretty unique thing.  I wouldn't at all be surprised if they dug deeper and played an "Americana" set.  Think of all the songs that are already in the rotation from the Spontaneous Curation Series:

At Dawn
Low Down
TWTHS
Hopefully
Xmas Curtain
The Bear
Nashville to Kentucky
Evelyn
Old Sept Blues
If All Else Fails
Butch Cassidy
IWBTWYD
Golden
Wonderful
etc
etc

It's a pipe dream, I'm sure, but the possibility is there.
some get stoned, some get strange, sooner or later it all gets real.
