Non Sin Breaux

I would be interested more in going next year if they have it considering they will have a new album out at the time.

Would love to see more opening acts like Pinback, Modest Mouse, Black Heart Procession, Iron & Wine, and The Faint. Even though nothing tops The Flaming Lips live. (What did they play?)

Although these sets are crazy good, I am surprised they aren't as long as night 2 at Red Rocks or Port Chester.

I'm glad you guys got to see o -> strangulation -> run thru -> dondante that is like my dream run.  I almost had it with Hell instead of O.

That stretch was insane. And for it not being as long, that's because the DJ sets went until 4am so there's that. I'm not really a big fan of that music but each night was a hell of a great time.

But sitting in the jacuzzi eating room service at 5:30am isn't such a bad deal, ha.

Would love to see all 3 of the shows into a DVD/BluRay format, I know it's not gonna happen but I would still pay alot of money to make it happen.

I talked to one of the main photographers at Cloud 9, and he said the band was filming everything professionally themselves. It would make a lot of sense to release it.

First off, they haven't done a live DVD in some time (new material). Second, releasing this would be the best promotion for doing OBH in the future. Third, the fact that they have new management representing them says a lot to me. I would think their new management would want them to get more exposure and rake in some cash.

I just hope it does get released as a new DVD. Would be amazing!

I'm already having Jacket withdrawls!
Mona Lisa must'a had the highway blues, you can tell by the way she smiles.

I've done my fair share of traveling and this was easily the best vacation i ever took! hands down......cannot wait for next year!

Non Sin Breaux

If this is made into a DVD I think I would watch it twice a month. I would make people that come over watch it with me. I would even buy 5 plus copies and send them out as Xmas gifts. Then make those people watch it and ask questions about it.

I'm such a difficult person.

HEY!  My first post! :-D  I can't believe that "Gina" wasn't taken.

So, yeah....this trip was the first time I ever saw these guys live and now I'm hooked.

I heard that they are interested in doing this all again, but are thinking about changing to different locations each time.

Is this Brian? I spoke the the guy doing the video on the stage left closest first floor room. He said they were making a DVD. I then spoke to the still photographer with the broken ankle on that knee padded transport thing, he said it is likely they will make a documentary/promo type video, but was not sure about a traditional concert DVD. 4 hour flight delay today. Seemed half the plane was from the festival. 7 hours in the airport.  The tarmac was damp when we landed at LAX. Maybe it was a severe weather shut down. 60 degrees and overcast.

Any ideas or hopes as to where they will be next year?

Welcome Gina.

Looks like you picked one helluva great way to see MMJ live for the first time  and I'm not surprised at all you're hooked.  Hopefully this next tour brings them near your home, and you can continue to feed that jones.

Well, at least my wife and I got to meet you and spend a little time chatting.  Great putting a face to a name I've seen on here for a while!

If you think about it Riviera Maya is the most convenient tropical location for most of the US, only 4.5 hours from LA, and closer for most of the country. That is significant. I just want to have a BEACH! 4 days in the tropics, looking at the ocean and no access to it without paying for an excursion or a rental car is not cool for me. (Kyle, it was nice talking to you. Too bad you left so early. Right after you left I had a conversation at a bar with a 67 year old retired rich guy at Bubba Gumps that was so painful  I thought I was on Candid Camera. He liked boats and talked about them for 20 minutes with out taking a breath.)

Not many videos surfacing yet.. Any videos of Shane cony and isn't it a pity?
