Anybody got a setlist?

As usual, Vespa got it. Also, Nancy Sinatra came out and sang These Boots Are Made For Walking with Wilco. Thanks, for the updates, Vespa!

I forgot-they cut Mahgheeta, but Cinnabon Girl was played by Wilco according to their set list.

Is that Jackson as in......Jackson Browne???

Is that Jackson as in......Jackson Browne???

Yes. The guys were so good. But, the guests really made the show special.

Taylor Goldsmith (from Dawes) duetted beautifully on "Wonderful."
Jackson Browne on "Late For the Sky" was fantastic, but I thought "Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You" (also with JB) was off the charts.  How ballsy was it to play a Bob Dylan cover while opening for the man? Then, "Don't Do It" was excellent.

Nancy Sinatra joined Wilco which was kitschy fun. Various members from RB's band and MMJ played on California Stars (JB butchered a verse, FYI), Casino Queen and Jim and Carl sang "Cinnamon Girl" with Wilco. The highlight for me from Wilco's set was a nice, fiddle-laden version of Uncle Tupelo's "New Madrid," one of my favorite songs.

I had given up on seeing Bob this decade, but it was fun to watch him from the pit. Then, of course we got "The Weight" with Jeff Tweedy, Jim James and Ryan Bingham. Definitely a highlight for me after 30+ years of seeing shows.

This tour has been a treasure for the fans.

Don't  Do It was REALLY ripping and for me it was probably the highlight of Jacket's set.  I'm a moderate Jackson Browne fan, but when he came out and played Late For The Sky, I was so happy, tears of joy.  Carl and Jim both took very tasteful and beautifully restrained solos and Jackson was clearly loving having a band that good behind him.  MMJ showed themselves to be even more versatile by doing the 70s singer/songwriter thing.

Also Jim did the Hard Rain Rolling Thunder Revue version of Tonight I'll Be Staying Here with those specific lyric changes and having the violin out there.  I think it so cool that when they do covers, they are often covering a particular version from some album you can tell they've listened to alot.  It was the best played Dylan song of the night, that is for sure.

Wilco's set was stunning, they were just deep deep in a groove, like a freight train barreling down the tracks, on fucking fire and unstoppable.  I've seen them like that before but this show really stood out for me.  New Madrid, like cre618 said (is that Bill that we were talking to?) was brilliant. California Stars was powerful for a simple folky sing along tune, Wilco and the guests made it really swing.  Cinnamon Girl was as epic and killer as Don't Do It had been earlier.  The Band, Dylan, Neil, the heaviest hitters being paid homage in a loving way. And then Casino Queen was Wilco becoming The Rolling Stones circa 1972 and just rocking the shit out off it, unfuckingbelievably good.  I was in heaven!

Jim was hilarious in wishing everyone a good morning, but he meant it when he said we are all in this together.  It was a great great show!

Looks like you guys got an amazing show last night, Shug. Great collabs, and I'm sure it was amazing to see.

"We're all in this together".

This was Jim's response to me in the hotel bar in Asbury when I thanked him for helping out by Jacket headlining the show.

Sounds like this was a seriously awesome show! How many more surprises can they keep pulling out?!

"Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You" is such an underrated tune. These setlists -- SOMEHOW -- just keep getting better.

I wish these shows were taped for a future video release. But I will settle for some sweet, sweet boots. Make it happen MMJ/Wilco!

What a seriously incredible show.

I'm still in shock that Jackson Browne came out and did Late For The Sky.  It's one of my very favorite songs by anyone and it was absolute magic to see it played with MMJ as the backing band.

Tonight I'll Be Staying Here With You and Don't Do It were also excellent.

The Wilcos were on fire, indeed!  I have seen them play 11 times and still saw 3 songs last night that I hadn't seen played live before - not including the covers.  These Boots Were Made For Walking was super fun, but the real treat during that bit of the show was seeing Nancy Sinatra sing Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down) with Nels and Glenn.  Nels tone and playing on that tune was spot on and superb.

Being a St. Louis native, I was incredibly happy to see a Wilco show in California that included Jeff's trifecta of awesome songs that reference our shared hometown - New Madrid, Heavy Metal Drummer and Casino Queen (as mentioned above - a particularly blistering version!  Loved the fiddle solo! - also killer fiddle playing by Richard Bowden on Forget The Flowers)

While MMJ stuck to their newer material, pulling mostly from Z and Circuital - it was really cool to see Wilco pull mainly from their earlier albums for this show - lots of YHF, Being There, and Mermaid Ave with some AM and Summerteeth sprinkled on top (and a little Whole Love to add some modern psychedelic flavor).

All around, just an incredible and unique concert experience from both of these bands that I love so much.  Cinnamon Girl featuring everyone that could fit on-stage was so good.  All the moments of special guest/collaboration just looked like intense amounts of fun were being had on the stage.  It really was like a musical party.

It was fun to see Bob Dylan, even if he's not that great anymore.  At least he seemed to be having a good time and his band was excellent.  I really enjoyed the version of All Along The Watchtower.  Having Jeff, Jim and RB come out for The Weight was just the cherry on top of a ridiculous night of music.

That sounds like such an awesome set list! I wanna hear Don't Do It. Must have been so great to see.

He did that in Atlanta too. Like 4 times. It was a little bizarre.
