It looks like sales have sped up the last week and there are almost 4700 tickets sold, so my worries of a cancellation are gone.  So who else is going?

Is that larger or smaller?

Strangely enough, it looks like they have almost the same capacity.  Looks like they were looking for a capacity of 12,000 for the Minor League Stadium and the Arena is right around 12,000. (I have never been to either, so this is strictly based on internet searches, so who knows how reliable).

Here is an article giving the reason as logistical staging issues and problems with semi angles??????  New venue setup will be for 7K.

Called Civic Center for more info.  Said the stage setup was undecided but there would be no seats on the floor, all GA standing.  I am guessing they will do a half-arena setup.

Wilco opened with give me back the keys to my heart.

First Sloth, now Calvary Cross?!!!!!  Holy fucking shit, I cannot believe it! Richard Thompson sat in with Wilco again and played Calvary Cross, his other best guitar freak out song.  Thrilled this is happening, so far beyond what I would have expected, bummed to be missing it.   And they played Kingpin, too.  These set lists from both MMJ and Wilco are unreal, I'm so stoked!

Wilco
1. Give back the keys to my heart
2. Airline to Heaven
3. One Sunday Morning
4. Art of almost
5. Calvary Cross w/ Richard Thompson on vocals
6. California Stars w RT
7. Via Chicago
8. Kingpin
9. Box full of letters
10. I'm always in love
11. Dawned on Me
12. Heavy metal drummer
13. I'm the man who loves you
14. I'm a wheel

Me too. IMO... Wilco and MMJ are two-thirds of the holy trilogy of modern music (Radiohead being the third). This tour has confirmed my love for MMJ, and it has reignited my love for Wilco. They sort of lost me on their last 2 albums, and the last few shows I saw them before Americanarama were mediocre at best. Wilco and MMJ plus collabs with legends is a dream tour. Imagine if they dropped Dylan, gave the headliners 2 hours each (alternating as closer each night) and gave the opener an extra 30 minutes. I'd pay good money for that and catch as many shows as possible.

I've read a lot of lukewarm Wilco comments on this board. While I don't expect as much love for them as MMJ here, I cannot understand the comments about them being "boring". Nels is a beast on lead guitar and they are bringing it every night on this tour. They do have some slow moments in their set (I.e. One Sunday Morning), but to be fair, so does MMJ (Wonderful, Librarian). I like the change of pace throughout a set. Sure, I also like a raucous run of songs, but it's hard to keep up the intensity.

Enough rambling... I love the power of a Wilco / MMJ pairing. Nothing could make me happier, unless of course Radiohead joined the tour. 😘

A fantastic article about the Peoria show, but also about travelin' to live music to be moved emotionally.  Hits home.

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.
