Anyone going?

Alienlanes and I are going. We just got lawns so I can dance around and not worry.
Babe, let's get one thing clear, there's much more stardust when you're near.

Jaimoe

I'll be there. I'm in the 200s. Should be a dandy of a show.

LeanneP

Yay!  Be sure to stop me and say hello if you spy me.  I may wear my Roll Call laminate just because  :cheesy:  It'll be my secret signal to other cool MMJ nerds!

If I find myself wandering around the lawns, I'll be on the lookout for you.

i sincerely cannot grip this idea that i'll be seeing mmj at the amphitheatre tmw... 'tis a glorious day.

pinkfluorite

also, i am praying that we get Impossible Germany. if Wilco plays that in the night sky, i will be in the purest of paradisal states.

It's supposed to be a BEAAAAAUUUUTIFUL day tomorrow -- perfect for an evening with MMJ! And Wilco! And Dylan.

Toronto fans have been incredibly fortunate in that MMJ has given us a summer show for three years running now -- each one with a juicy and unique setlist! Here's hoping the trend continues tomorrow.

Richard Thompson shouldn't be overlooked. He's a legend in his own right.

Hopin' for a sit-in or two! I've been really digging this "Full House" Fairport Convention album the last few days.

Jaimoe

Shoot Out the Lights with Richard and ex-wife Linda, often shows up on Best Albums of the 1970s lists. He also collaborated with Nick Drake.

This is fucking killer. No wonder he's considered one of the great guitarists:

Looking forward to this! Third summer in a row for T.O., and the first time my old lady gets to experience The Jacket. Gonna be a wild night!

There is also a live album from around that time called "House Full"  It might be out of print, but its good.

You might also consider getting Unhalfbricking for A Sailor's Life, another great Brit folk-rock jam song or Liege and Lief for Tam Lin and other great songs.  Those two had Sandy Denny on lead vocals and all had RT on lead guitar.

If you want more RT, a good set to start, IMO, would be the 3 disc Watching The Dark box set.  A little bit of Fairport, but mostly post-Fairport RT stuff.  We discussed this alot in the RT thread http://forum.mymorningjacket.com/index.php/topic,17450.msg329845.html#msg329845

I've downed two pints of 7% Headstock IPA from Nickelbrook (good Ontario micro-brewery; yes my Yankee hop-head  friends, you'd love it) and I'm taking the subway and streetcar down to the amphitheatre after I walk the dog. Can't wait!!!

The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

How was it, gang?
My un-MMJ-innitiated brother and his friends are in attendance, and I'd love to know what sort of beast they were dealing with before I check-in and serve the koolaid!
