I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

Smoking barely wins!

I had my girlfriend place the extra songs in 4 random groups of 11.  Hopefully all the groups at once isn't too much.  I figured we should get this thing moving!

I think there's too many songs on here that I'm just not familiar enough with to care about

johnnYYac

I agree this is a bit much to handle, even for a completist like myself.  I'd have to go back to many of these tracks to make an informed decision, not necessarily worth the effort (no offense).

Perhaps we should whittle the list down to the more commonly known tracks of the batch.  This would be my list, broken into 3 groups of 10, with source references:

Ready To Be Called Upon - Dallas Buyers Club soundtrack
Welcome Home - iTunes session, Dec. 2011
El Caporal - Dark Was The Night (Red Hot Compilation)
Sweetheart - Sweatbees EP, Chocolate and Ice EP
Tonite I Want To Celebrate With You - Ch. 2 Learning (Early Recordings)
Chills - At Dawn demos/Off The Record EP
How Do You Know - Sweatbees EP, MMJ-Songs Ohia split EP
Grab A Body - It Makes No Difference 10" (B side)
Somebody Cares About The Maestro - Ch. 1 The Sandworm Cometh (Early Recordings)s
Same In Any Language - Elizabethtown soundtrack
-------------------------------
Churches, Banks, and Bars - unreleased
Can You See That Hard Helmet On My Head? - Sweatbees EP, Chocolate and Ice EP
Where To Begin - Acoustic Chorale
Come Closer - Sweatbees EP, MMJ-Songs Ohia split EP
Friends Again - Friends Again 7" (red)
Good Morning Dove - Louisville Is For Lovers 2010
Sooner - Sweatbees EP,Chocolate and Ice EP, Acoustic Chorale
Cobra - Chocolate and Ice EP
R.I.P.V.G. - Heartbreakin Man EP
Lil' Billy - At Dawn/Tennessee Fire Demos
-------------------------------
Weeks Go By Like Days - Ch. 1 The Sandworm Cometh (Early Recordings)
Dear Wife - Live From Las Vegas at The Palms EP
Mamama - Self Hypnosis #2
Isobella With The White Umbrella - Ch. 1 The Sandworm Cometh (Early Recordings)
Josta Dreams and Bitter Hands - Ch. 1 The Sandworm Cometh (Early Recordings)
Epichord - Louisville Is For Lovers Vol. 6
Devil's Peanut Butter - Sundance Film Festival sampler (2007)
How Could I Know - Off The Record EP
O Is The One That Is Real - Sweatbees EP, MMJ-Songs Ohia split EP
Octoplasm - Self Hypnosis #1

If you don't know a tune, make that your first elimination.  Just a thought.

I'd post some of these, but many are rare because the band/Jim had no intention of making them publicly available. Some appeared on the Louisville Is For Lovers series.

I agree with all of this.  I was doing everything, because I figured most everyone would prefer to do all of the songs.

By My Car is from TTF.  But you already know that...  Is there a difference to the Acoustic version?  I may need to relisten if so

Nope, nope.  Just saw it while compiling the list and the AC version is the one I listen to most.  Totally spaced its presence on TTF.  Every track on Acoustic Citsuoca is worth a relisten!

Yeah I took it off, since it was part of TTF.

Does the new list please everyone?  Or do we need to cut it down to two tight groups?

LB

when I look up Same in Any Language, it's a song by I Nine?

Do you have a source I can listen to for Churches, Banks, and Bars; epichord; good morning dove; or devil's peanut butter?

I always thought devil's peanut butter was the original name of Highly Suspicious for some reason

no you never gotta fight with me

I might go ahead and edit the list down some more tonight when I get a chance
I wonder why we listen to poets when nobody gives a fuck

EverythingChanges

Since everyone still seems a bit hesitant, I went ahead and removed the 6 songs I felt are harder to find and less known.  I removed two from each group.  Everything else is pretty accessible via Spotify, YouTube, etc. etc.

Hope everyone joins back in! We still have Favorites and Least Favorites after this batch. Thanks for playing!
