GO4IT

The Lost in the Dream vinyl arrived midweek but I waited until tonight to do it up right.  Had to keep in under control while guests were around but now that they are gone and Ms GO4IT has gone upstairs to bed I'm going through it again properly at FULL volume.
This album was meant for vinyl and I seem to have received a very decent pressing.
Very nice.

just picked up the album.  will give it a listen to soon.  Probably should have seen them when they were in their hometown, philly, the other night  :embarrassed:

listened to it the other day.  I liked it a lot.  Only listened to it once so can't really give a real good opinion yet.

well after listening to it again this time with headphones on I liked it even more.  Very solid album.  Def. up there for album of the year.

Sometimes when I get in my zone, you'd think I was stoned, but I never as they say, touched the stuf

I'm really liking this record, too.

A couple of songs and a short interview here:

Oh baby! Just got back from my first live War On Drugs experience... WHOA!

The venue's power went out before the show, casting doubt that the show could even go on. Thankfully, it did, but when I saw Adam's guitar setup, it became all too clear why the power went out -- the dude is running four amps! And a pedalboard longer than a submarine. But OH BABY what a sound he gets out of it! I've never seen such a surgical guitar player. Musical incision after musical incision, all in impressively precise fashion.

His band is full of stealth all-stars too. Everyone was doing something very unique and I found myself getting lost in each of their parts -- I guess that's a reflection of how amazingly textured these songs are.

I really loved the drawn-out feedback jams. Cleared out the crowd nicely, and a feedback jam always puts a smile on my face. When you've got that much equipment, why WOULDN'T you!?

Great band, great show! Here is a clip of "An Ocean In Between The Waves":

Damn, I'd love to hear Budos Band's take on Ocean!
"...it's gonna be great -- I mean me coming back with the band and playing all those hits again"

Hahaha woops! Man, almost three hours of Adam's guitars blasting right in my face sure did a number on my brain.

Here's the actual video!

Expectations are rising for Friday night in D.C.  I hope to add another stellar review.  I am fired up to see this band!

I can't believe TWOD played Vancouver the same night as Neil Finn. I mean no disrespect to NF, I think he's great and I had purchased my tix a long time ago...but who knows when I'll get another chance to see TWOD again...gulp.

LBSUNFLWR

I saw them Friday night in Cincinnati. Agree with review above. Just awesome show! Loved every minute of it.

All of these reviews are really bumming me out that I had to miss them last Saturday in Cleveland.   :embarrassed:
